This is something that has become increasingly relevant in the age of social media, and I think you’ve missed the sobering way Drew foreshadows this. To me, the Dodford-worthy story here isn’t, “girl breaks curse of addiction”, it’s “look at how mass media will sacrifice children for money, and how those same children will turn to it to try to heal themselves again.” You’re an amazing storyteller. But I feel like you reached for the easy story, not the truest one.
