That’s probably why it’s a 14 win team because they just got a bunch of players and not a team, if that’s the case then they might as well start all Centers if fit doesn’t matter..
Disagree here, he does need progress on his outside shot, but good thing is his form is good. And if he turns out be a prolific scorer to the rim, his outside shooting inconsistency will not be seen a major problem, and I think with new management and upcoming Coaching as well. Lets hope for the best.
I wonder if Claxton is going to be a sign and trade. I like Holland. Hopefully the shot comes around. Seems like the pistons still gotta make a move to get a PF
a very bold statement im making!!! butafter watching tape on Holland he reminded me of someone n then i watch a young kobe ..and even thou i didnt like pick, but Holland reminds me of a very young kobe especially attacking the net ,defensively, and athletic dawg.... ...b4 anyone comments i no theirs only 1 kobe but watch tapes ..
While watching the video of him I first thought Demar Derozan, but once I got to the end and saw him blocking shots and playing defense, Koby came to mind. That outcome would be insane and highly unlikely but it be sure nice if he was some of Koby's caliber.
@@torchlord11 kobe was never a good 3 pt shooter just shy of 33 percent n was actually terrible early but he is one of the goat...if Holland is half as good as him will gladly take it
While many Pistons fans, myself included, may be disappointed with this fifth pick, I believe there’s more to consider. The current front office likely has a strategic plan we’re not yet aware of. They must ensure this plan is successful, as failure could lead to significant consequences.
This is the way of the new NBA--athletic wings. I'm not upset about the pick; Langdon knows basketball and is the second highest scorer at Duke after JJ Reddick so maybe he and Fred saw something they feel they can develop in him with the shooting aspect. Also, the Hayes pick over Halliburton was a Tellum decision. Weaver wanted Halliburton. Let's see how it plays out...I'm keeping a positive attitude.
@@EliteHumanNetwork I’m not saying the shooting coach isn’t qualified, I’m just saying a lot of those guys he coached to better shooting started out in a low 30 percentage from 3. Statistically most guys if they start out as bad shooters, they don’t get much better. Lonzo ball shot in the 30s from 3 in college. Herb jones the same. Only Jesus can help some of these guys. I hope I’m wrong. Why not draft guys who’ve shown a history of shooting well? Holland shoot 28 percent from 3. And only 45 from the field. Who do you know who’s shot 28 percent and came to the nba and shot well in their career? Not many
@@doiteffortless8396 Exactly, shooting is something you know if you're good at or not from a young age. If you don't have it by the time you get to the league, you're not going to "develop" it. It's extremely rare for bad shooters to become serviceable shooters in the league.
@@doiteffortless8396 Pretty much why I hate the pick, and no longer believe Langdon has the ability to do this rebuild. They might as well fire him now and start fresh again imo
I'm sorry, but what I see is Stanley Johnson the 2nd in our pick. Cade needs spacing and Holland does not provide that. The Pistons are too worried about filling the seats around the conference table, and not concerned enough with the team on the floor. I hope future moves will be with the TEAM in mind.
They say he's really quick, we'll maybe? but quickness does not always translate, and slower players can be superstars like Luka. He probably be a good scorer to the rim as he is aggressive and athletic. He has a very poor outside shot consistency, but in my opinion good form. He should excellent in defense and solid rebounder. For me you need trade either him or Asar in a package w 2 wings. My Pic was Zack Edy 1st, Clingan 2nd. Actually ide be fired as a GM taken Edy number one if it was only way I could get him. He is going to shock people if he gets his minutes.
Zach Edey can not defend on the perimeter in a perimeter dominant league…he will be such a liability on the defensive end covering in space, that’s is going to make him unplayable for a large part of the game. Best case scenario is for him to dominate the paint for 6-7 minute stretches at a time on offense …but no longer then that as he will get exposed on the other end if out there too long
The kid might end up being good. But he can’t shoot. His shots not completely broken like asur but Cody Williams is the same player but can shoot. Idk what we are going to do about floor spacing.
Stan VanLangdon has been here a few days and look what's happened so far. Weaver who straightened the money and picks out...gone. Williams gets fired for not taking his G league team to the play-offs...gone. Now he has drafted another Ausar. Can't shoot (a little, better handle).
@kwyatt261 I'd have gave Monty until the play offs to lean it up. I mean, the guy had a different team every week. They literally didn't know the plays. Killian Hayes sucked, but he knew the plays. Williams got dogged for playing him too much.
It was also a much different era when Magic was winning.. And Magic was a 6’9 point guard that could easily post up other guards, and he was one of the greatest passers in NBA history, and on top of all that he still managed to shoot 30% from 3 for his career.. Just a bad comparison all the way around.. Jaylen Brown is what we should be hoping for
Langdon must’ve already talked to Vinson before the draft and asked him if he could improve Holland’s shooting
Why hasn't he improved the other players on the team shooting then?

Trajan Langdon has ensured us of yet another lottery level team this forthcoming season. Holland is 18 years-old and will require 6-years to progress.
