Why are the writers making his daughter out to be such a brat? He literally lost his husband and didn't learn about it until right after waking up from a coma a year later and is still recovering from said coma. Where is the logic in this?
Umm he’s just woke from a 12 month coma his husbands dead, life changed, his daughter gave birth to his grandson, his son is in young offenders, his minds messed up I think marriage and kids can. Wait
I get he blames Rex;however, he could have played the long game and waited until he had more strength to try to kill him. Ste will fall in lust with him, they’ll fight, they’ll get back together,etc. Ste may be the problem in these many bad relationships. Let’s just hope they don’t get married. 🤦🏽♀️ He’ll try again to kill him but won’t succeed and then it’ll be like every relationship Ste has ever been in. I’m just wondering how Lucas will react when he finds out his nephew is his boyfriend’s son. Dillon killed me talking about if Lucas finds out he’ll be mad at her. Like it’s Hollyoaks, she could say it was some random guy but he’ll put two and two together all he got to do is look at the baby. I’m mad at both of them like why are you sleeping with your boyfriend’s sister? And why did you do it without a hat on? I don’t ship Dillon and Lucas but this is wild. I just hope that Dillon doesn’t get killed because we all know Lucas can get plus it’s his sister, he’ll explode. They shouldn’t have been together at all. Lucas was violent towards him even before the whole Carter bs. 🤦🏽♀️
@@hannariel I've never known any gay relationships be like this, friends, other family members who may be LGBTQ+, it's just completely heteronormative stereotype that people fall in love at a whim, and it's not true for ANYONE I've never. I never said it wasn't true for anyone, hence why I said only speaking from personal experiences, and those of peers.

It is obvious that the writing team are predominantly heterosexual, that's what's heteronormative about it, that homosexual love is being reduced down to a one dimensional stereotype that Ste can jump from relationship to relationship, when in actuality this is simply not always achievable. It would be far harder to find queer love in a place the size of Hollyoaks in reality, as the amount of people simply wouldn't exist. Coronation Street is far more reflective with Sean Tully's character, I can't remember the last time he was in a serious relationship - which is unfortunately true for a lot of gay men. That's the end of my TED talk.

It was already hinted since the start, I have no problem at all, since he never mentioned that he was gay... My problem is when they estabilish a character as gay and then start to hookup with the opposite sex... This is bi erasure and it's problematic.
Ste needs time to heal before him and Rex can be together.
