@@themobseat short story long, I was in there with a few friends, it was early, maybe 7pm, he came in with some low level wrestlers and a Sumo, I immediately went full fan boy, asking questions, my friend told his friend wrestling was gay and the sleeper hold was fake, a brawl started, he smiled at me, shook his head, and blasted me across the room. The entire Marine Barracks was banned from the Hard Rock as a result.
Mine too man 💯💪 Dude was a monster, strength, personality, heart . Dude had it all and doesn't get enough recognition. Guy's like Cena get all the hype . In the ring Cena seems like the real deal but in real life you can just tell the dude is a D bag
I loved watching Bam Bam do things no big men do, even today! He was a staple of ECW. He & TAZ had an amazing feud. Only Bam Bam could make Lawrence Taylor look good, who was not good at all in the ring!
I only got to know bam bam when he wrestled Taylor then he teamed with diesel to take on Sid and tatanka and I like how this guy moved it's amazing how many legends we lost in the space of 5yrs men who would have fitted in with this era
Do research to find out if it's legit. I know a guy who was accused by his ex, he lost his job, and after two years in court she admitted it was fake. The woman did it to try to prevent him from getting partial child custody.
FOR ME... I believe Bam Bam Bigelow was the BEST LARGE wrestler EVER. I mean that in a sense as the 350lbs PLUS category, like 400lbs upwards. Bam Bam moved in a versatile way like a luchador, had the aggression of the big guys and also was an in ring strategic technician like Bret Hart. Best BIG guy wrestler EVER for me in an overall sense. (Many wohld disagree but hey, horses for courses) peace and luv to all ❤
I have what might be considered a controversial by some. I don't think he should've agreed to do the job to Lawrence Taylor. I know Taylor was a tough dude, bur he was not a wrestler and back then many people at least still liked to pretend wrestling was real. Sure he made some money in the short term, but harmed his long term marketability so for me that biggest reason for his decline although the other stuff did play a role too. Today you can job a wrestler out to a non wrestler without much consequence, but back then it was much harder to get away with.
I know, I miss those days. I grew up in the late 80's watching all these guys. They were huge real life superhero types. My son watches the current product and most of these guys look like they should be a bag boy at a grocery store. There are a few big ones now but most are so small in comparison to these old monsters
Yeah! I’m glad you covered Bam Bam. He was one of my favorite wrestlers as a kid.
Bam bam punched me in the face in the Hard Rock Cafe in 1991. It's my crowning achievement.
Details please...

This video was actually better than the dark side of the ring episode about him
Bam Bam suffered 40% burns to his body rescuing a family including three children. Surely that deserved to be mentioned?
I agree
No mention of him saving some kids from a burning building?

Some where between 1994-5, he got knocked out by this retried Marine Major, working as JROTC instructor.
Before every one had tattoos
