July 28, 1987 - Charlevoix, MI. Autograph opened for Anthrax & Whitesnake. My 16 year old self was geeked to be FINALLY able to see them with my girlfriend. Her parents dropped us off, literally threw cash at us so they could be alone. We bought everything Anthrax had to offer. We played ATL cassette I had on our way back, they both were mad we "wasted their money". I was so happy.

@@whiplash1903 you're very lucky to have seen them in their heyday. Those first albums are classics that a.o. brought hardcore punk, funk, thrash, jazz & gospel together in one giant melting pot. That track Information Overload directly followed by Undercover Of Darkness is genius.
Anthrax has just been killing it for 40 years!!! Have always been one of my favorites!!! I’ve seen these guys live 3 times in more recent years and they are ridiculously good!!! Love Joey’s voice!!! There is no one better! His voice IS Anthrax!!! I’m so glad he came back and they started making music again!!! Here’s to another 40 years boyz!!!
I still have to explain what's so special about Anthrax and I simply can't. They're just great from the moment I got hold of the Fist full of metal album (yes, I'm somewhat older, 53 to be exact😉). Gonna see them again in October '22 in Tilburg.

We don't need any proof that Anthrax stands among the best metal groups in history, but seeing them together with past and present luminaries hanging out and/or sharing the stage is a treat! I saw them years ago at this small but cool little theater in St Charles IL, just a couple hundred people was one of my top 10 shows I’ve been to.
