No one can truly understand what victims of sexual assault/abuse go through, the lasting affects it has, the scars it leaves… unless they’ve been through it. But hearing her say “that’s why I didn’t want a daughter” was heartbreaking and hard to hear. Other parts of her story had me questioning her and shaking my head as well.
My heart breaks for the young girl. Something is definitely/obviously going on, someone is hurting her. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad they both passed, because there were several parts of her story that made me believe otherwise…. This is why you need to teach your kids the proper names for their body parts. “Cookie” can be misinterpreted if a child makes an outcry to a safe adult. If a child says “someone touched my v a g I n a,” there is NO misunderstanding that! If they say “someone touched my cookie” it could be easily misinterpreted.
