- A difficulty spike in Another Crab's Treasure, this is How to Beat Heikea Intimidation Crab. This boss took me by surprise because it is quite a challenge but you can tell this boss fight is coming from a mile away. Don't forget to knock down the gum bridge to have a safe way to return here if you accidentally get set back to the moon shell. Heikea is like a sushi chef but also a samurai. I haven't had this much fun in a boss fight in a while, it is a true challenge!

I’ve beaten all 3 dark souls games multiple times and literally find this game harder than every one
I have not played a single souls like game until another crabs treasure and seeing this comment makes me feel overprepared
@@Babstamidwheellots of dark souls difficulty comes from runbacks too, A.C.T. is pretty forgiving in that aspect.

Yeah this boss was a big challenge. This and the next one were two of the hardest in the game, until the final boss
Instead of quitting, try using some of the assists. It may not feel like you won the right way probably, but you’ll be able to keep playing instead of being stuck.

You’ve this brother, honestly I found his attacks pretty easy to parry. You just gotta persevere.
Random thing I noticed about this fight:
Halkea’s frighten move shows him turning around and flashing his back, which notably looks like the face of a demon.
This is likely a reference to the demon back from “baki the grappler”

Thanks for the tip about the fish! This helped me a lot with breaking him and got it on my second try (not in total but second try after equipping the fish lol)
The fish keeps the posture damage from going away with time which helps a lot on this boss! Congrats on the win!
I just hit and ran once I ran out of heart kelps I prayed and went for sushi
The sushi helps! This is one of the hardest bosses in the game for sure
What’s fucking me is the lock on coming off every five seconds and the developers really have taken the would formula to heart including the ridiculous camera that zooms in on my characters ass every time in go near the edge of the arena, great mechanic when fighting in a phone box. this boss is bullshit,

I’m so unlucky with him. He does the grab attack every 2/3 moves. The other one is almost always a frighten

What level wheee you, I’m around level 17 and struggling
I can’t remember this was my first playthrough but this is one of the hardest bosses in the whole game to be honest hahaha. This and the next one (topoda) are the hardest ones until the final boss

I can no damage him all the way to the second phase then its one grab attack and im dead ( i neglected vigor)
Level vigor!! That’s the lesson learned from most souls games hahaha
Seeing a lot of people talking about parrying and it’s making me think I didn’t just have to thug it out after all
The parry helps a lot during most fights, this one the dodge roll helps the most I think!

idk this is the only boss ive struggled with so far. probably died 50x last night. best ive done was about 3/4 of his health bar but the second attack phase is just impossible to get close enough to do any additional damage.
It’s a tricky fight where you have to stick far away or up close. Jump heavy attacks help a lot here
The switch up is the real problem because his attacks change from slow to fast, it’s best to use your shell if u struggle with timing the rolls and once you lose ur shell u can grapple other shells and when u do this u are invincible until your shell is on
@@LEBROZATRONMonk-zb8ok I didn't know you can grapple shells that a game changer for sure. Unfortunately the game is broken for me currently. Some issues the devs are currently looking into for me, where the jump button isn't working in game.

I fought and lost against him a lot last night that my strategy was just to parry as much as possible.
Parrying works well on a lot of bosses, especially the one after this one. But I found for Heikea it’s best to dodge roll

Beat a few more bosses but now Im lost after exploring all of expired grove and flotsam vale I'm gonna hold off on looking up where to go but its a big bowl with a red flag? I wouldn't mind a TH-camr sharing cause then its not really cheating in my brain anyway.

Hahahaha I’m so sorry bro. Put on the assist for dodge rolls if you want to get past it! This is one of the biggest skill checks in the game, it was smooth sailing after this section of the game.
Alternatively you can go back to sands between and do the beginning of Flotsam Vale to level up. To get there you go back to the entrance of the expired grove and go to the left in the sands between

Was loving this game until this boss. Stopped playing it like two months ago and only picking it up again. Still can’t beat him!
It’s the hardest boss in the game until the final boss in my opinion
This boss made me drop this game, I've played 2 Dark Souls games and numerous soulslikes but Heikea is BS, thankfully I didn't pay anything for this game since it's on GP
This boss is really hard. You can put assists on if it’s too challenging of a fight for your level
I thought this boss was pretty easy. Huge openings, but the only thing is that sometimes you get stuck in a combo and get hit

Did you get the barbed hook upgrade from the moon snail domain?
Didn't explain how to do the fisk hook minigame though.
This is a mechanic you get earlier in the game, you just put your control stick in the opposite direction of the fish on screen
@@JasonDunna Thanks. The game has been more easier now that I learned this. Really happy to have past this fight. What worked for me was this stowaway that was a fish. It kept biting the boss which kept it's poise meter up :)
@@Phascolar1 yeah the fish helps a lot!! Thankfully the bosses after this one get a bit easier
I got fed up with the snipers in the village, so I took out my huge gun & started shootin.
This was pretty cathartic tbh... Until, when walking up to this arena, I saw this guy & reflexively shot him, which seems to have broken my game, cos I got no map fragment from him.
Oh well.
Still a great game, just needs a teeny amount of tuning imho, & a few bug fixes the devs are working on.
Have you tried going to upper crust in New carcinia to see if you can interact with the back of the cereal box?
@@JasonDunna yeah, and since I'd gotten the fragments from The Sands Between's world boss, & from Flotsam, I got a lecture from the historian about doing everything backwards 😂 but it only let me place those 2 fragments.
Out of interest is the fragment a reward from Intimidation Crab, or is it laying on the ground?
If the latter, think I'm kinda screwed 🤔

Think I ended up killing him before I fought Hekea. Always the beauty of a soulslike design that you can do things in a different order.
But I didn't get anything from beating Topoda - besides the mantis punch of course.
@@geroffmilan3328 Mantis punch is my favorite. It can break some bosses posture later on and when upgraded to level 3 it gets a useful teleport! Highly recommend grabbing that, it makes some boss fights much easier and more fun

Its an abbility than you can adquire in the abbility tree i think
