I got a '13 Gen 3.8 Track and I got the ISR Race exhaust (no mufflers). Sounds just like this. People are always turning heads. Even my friend said it sounds just like a GT-R. LOL! Just goes to show you that Hyundai is top notch.
I got a gtr pov video opened up in another tab. The genesis coupe 3.8 definitely sounds very much like the gtr. I have to get a 3.8 genesis coupe one day.
throw some ark down pipes on it openes it up a lil more im waitin on my ark headers then true straight piped I got the same set up ur running except with ark down pipes injen CAI abd ab sfr custom tune with sfr custom auto trans tune
ethanW yeah it’s working good I drove it a couple times I’m thinking about buying it Saturday & it’s already straight piped so I don’t have to do that I’ll probably wrap it and do some other mods.
VQ engines were the start of it all sooner or later even the IS250/350 started to sound like the VQ even the newer J series v6 accord/TL also sounded like it now the Genesis.

I took it to a shop, believe it or not I actually took mine to just a regular muffler shop lmao. Unfortunately I live in a tiny town and theres really only local shops around me. Id just call and ask them if they are comfortable doing it!
ethanW see around me there are a lot of muffler shops but I’m kinda sketched bout taking mine to a shop again for anything lol. Last time I went to ZIEBARTS for body work and they scratched tf outta my bumper. So i might try and do it myself it looks kinda easy

Was thinking about putting eibach pro street coilovers, a magna flow exhaust, injen short ram air intake, the esr 08 hyper silver wheels, maybe a tune, tint, and something to protect the paint?
So far that sounds like a pretty sick build to me. only thing I could think is maybe before you tune to add some downpipes and headers but thats just personal preference. Have you heard of the CNT V3 exhaust? If not its definitely worth checking out thats probably my second choice besides the isr, magnaflow is definitely a good option as well though

Where I have the 2013 I don't have the automatic rev matching so it doesn't pop super crazy every downshift, it definitely still pops quite a lot and really loud tho. The drone isn't that bad at all it definitely does but not enough to bother me

Please don't be offended, but these cars don't sound anywhere near like a GTR. My brother has a 2015 GTR, and I own a 2011 Genesis coupe amongst other cars. There seems to be some kind of hopefulness that these cars sound like a GTR. I mean to each their own opinion I guess. Still nice sound from that exhaust. I'm stuck on either Stillen, HKS, or CNT version 3. Don't want any drone sound. Would like a deeper tone but just a little louder.
I mean I dont think it sounds dead on a GTR either just very similar in my opinion. I also really like the CNT V3 they sound sick and from what ive heard are not supposed to drone at all.

Unfortunately only mod I have a vid of me installing is the intake. I installed the exhaust and test pipes before I started my channel. I am about to start building this car, downpipes, headers and so on its just expensive lol
I personally didn't use any but I think it would be better to use them, my left side hangs a bit lower than my right and people have told me those will fix the problem just have yet to do it.

Dude you paid 777$ for a mufffler delete? The pipes look exactly same as my genesis with a muffler delete and same dual burnt tips i got for $60, the total with work was $150. Thats not even an exhaust, why would you pay that much...

I prefer the ISR single exit with the the test pipes. Gets rid of the rasp and deepens the tone 👌 great setup all same!

The test pipe is 2.5 inch and honestly I dont know how big the exhaust is, Ive tried looking in the past and cant find it on their website or anywhere
