    G'day NV, You are a good modeller. As you were demonstrating decal and wash techniques, I'm hoping that you just exaggerated the different wash types for the sake of the demonstration. If not, I would say that the washes you did were too big for the scale of that model. Perhaps it would be OK on a 1/32 scale but for this 1/48 it was 'over the top'.
    I build a lot of old kits and old decals can present many problems. When the old decal sheets are too dry I put several drops of Micro Sol into the water I soak the decals in. This helps soften dry decals that can be so stiff they can crack and become useless. I had to develop this technique because it is hard to find replacements for some older style decals for livery that is no longer made by model companies. Thank you for your videos. Cheers, BH

    after putting on the decals, did you not lay down a coat of clear? gloss?
