Durga maa comes home every year for 5 days and we take care of her as our girl who has returned to her father's home. So to celebrate her homecoming we eat non veg, though there are numerous number of people who eat vegetarian food during that point of time.❤
In sikhi there is no concept of fasting. Every religion have the concept of fasting and purification or detoxification of body but according to shri guru nanak dev ji (1st guru of sikhi ) you should detox your mind from bad thoughts with the help of gurubani rather than fasting for the whole day . If you are not free from negative or evil thoughts than there is no benefit of fasting .

For us Bengalis durga thakur is our daughter who is coming back to her father's house for this 5days with her 4 kids kartik,ganesh, laxmi, Saraswati to have fun.. baccho ko nana ji ka ghar aur durga ma apne ghar arhi hai.. so it's a celebration time . How can bengalis celebrate without nonveg? That is the reason we have nonveg in the whole pujo time except astami.. because that day we give anjali to maa.
Another thing we count fish as very subh.. there are few pujos where we give bhog to durga ma with fish.. bengali tradition is very much associated with fish.. there's a lot to talk about it guys.. nonetheless the vedio was awesome.. luchi aloo dum is emotion to us❤❤
Maa Laxmi & saraswati maa durga ki beti nehi unki 2 swaroop hai. Plz durga puja ki mantra thik se suniye laxmi saraswati maa durga ki shakti ki roop me puji jati hai.
In Andhra it is Pulihora, in Karnataka it is Puliyogare! Also, please cover more Karnataka dishes! Also, Sundal dekhke Akshay ke andar ka Punjabi bahar aa gaya, waah kya chakhna hai😂
Since you guys do a lot of food videos, please try to cover both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh dishes to taste all Telugu dishes. If you have to try the main courses then go with both states but for snacks you'd prefer Andhra Pradesh since in Telangana you might consider Hyderabad and end up having the same north Indian snacks. Surprise us with your creativity. Looking forward to it.
In the first place, pulihora is not served with sambhaar. We can eat pulihora as it is. Also pulihora is not just Andhra Pradesh's thing, it is made in almost every household in South India. We also offer Kala Chana(boil karke tadka lagaathe hain hamare yaha, so basically same cheez in different way).

Puliogare is a South Indian dish made in all states of South as breakfast or tiffin item. It's eaten with fried papad or fryums or chips or maybe even coconut chutney to break the sourness.NEVER with sambar..

Sundal made during Navratri does not have onions.. Sundal can be made with chana dal, moong dal, chole chana, matki, vatana and 9 variety 9 din neividiyam (bhog) karte hain..

5:18 Pulihora is given as Prasad (not only in Navratri but in all the time in all temples ) In Delhi you will obviously not get the authentic Pulihora, please visit andhra once for more authentic dishes

Usually for pooja, onion not added in Sundal. Just boiled chickpeas, coconut, mustard, asafoetida, salt, curry leaves and dried chillies (optional)

I was taught Ravan is what happens to humans who are smart but egotistical. I don’t think of Ravan as wholly negative. He wrote Shiv Tandav and that alone is an accomplishment to be celebrated
Even I had same misconceptions about Lankans believing in Ravan ! But when I worked as consultant and stayed in the country there for 3 years, I didn’t counter any single person saying so!

Bengal does not only include West Bengal.. Tripura Assam also consist of Bengalis especially tripura
Phulhora is normal dish not for soecialy in navratri's but mostly its prepared as prasad
Pulihora is common Prashad in every Telugu house hold, along with that we have poornalu, semiya payasam and gaarelu (similar to medu Vada) these all we include as prashad and eat them for every festival.

Pulihora is never eaten with sambhar, please do not do videos without proper research, Procure food from authentic Andhra restaurant and ask them on how to eat( my point is please don't pass/ have wrong experiences on the yummiest food).

We don't eat Pulihora with sambar!! And Pulihora tastes better with curd and masala gravies ( like masala aloo curry gravy whatever it is) and ya Andhra people do make chana as prashad during navratri with thadka and these two r most common prashad during navratri
Bengali people dont have Navaratri. We eat chicken mutton fish anyday only except on Ashtami. That day we eat veg, some people dont based on their belief which is fine
We make sure to have chicken rolls, mutton biriyani, fish and all things non-veg during Durga Pujo. Having veg during this time is a crime.
