    When you consider what it takes to have a refrigerator in a vehicle and the costs associated with it....it makes a lot of sense to figure out a diet that doesn't require a fridge.

      Robyi makes a fridge you can charge on an 18 volt battery. I didn't know that. I am going to get Natures Generator which will keep the battery charger charged. It also provides cooling like an AC. Check it out on Home Depot.

    Nothing ridiculous about it, Any person should have two or three weeks worth of food in their home at any given time, things happen all the time from natural disasters to something as simple as money being tight for a while.
    Smart!

    Why not plant fruit trees everywhere you go? The coffee shop I like to go to has pear trees right out front in the parking lot. Delicious pears drop to the ground. I think less than half are taken and the trees are only 6 ft high. The first rest stop entering Georgia on northbound I-75 has ancient pecan trees. I stopped there at least a month after the pecans had hit the ground. They were still good to eat! The I-75 corridor is loaded with black walnut trees. The first cold snap, and millions of black walnuts hit the ground, never to be collected. I think elderberries are ready in September. When they bloom, you can see them everywhere along US25 as snowy white bouquets. you remember those locations and come back in September. I planted 26 black walnut trees. The first one I planted has yielded 300+ walnuts every two years. The others are coming in now. Soon I will regret planting them and have to thin them out. I found two apple trees in the hollows. I guess somebody gave the horse an apple.
    Anyway, it's free food. There is more where people don't have time to tend their gardens. Your mobility suggests that you can visit harvests throughout most of the year all across the US. Am I naive about this?

    • @CuriousKarli
      @CuriousKarli  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      For cooking rice you can find the kind that is already in bags so you can boil it in the bag and have less mess. But mostly you just need water, a pan, rice, and a camping stove. I didn't have a fridge or ice in my cooler. I would get things that don't need to be refrigerated but if I did get things that needed to be cold I would just eat them right away.

    Pls don't eat too much ramen noodles I've heard they are very bad for you.
    All processed foods are bad.
    Check ingredients and stay far away from hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated, stay away from high fructose corn syrup or any corn syrup, which by the way get local honey plain honey in the stores are mostly corn syrup I read that only a little bit of honey is required to call it honey.

      Instant coffee ... quick, convenient, decent flavor and nothing extra to clean up. Economical when compared to buying ground or beans & a grinder, some type of filter gadget and paper filters. Additionally, compare space needed to store same. A small jar of instant can be stashed anywhere, even in a coat pocket, if needed.

  • @AKVegan
    @AKVegan 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Please excuse my unsugarcoated comments. Not having a fridge does not mean you need to eat packaged foods. The ramen noodles and $1 pasta bags are loaded with salt and other chemicals. Check the labels. You can eat healthier pasta by buying pasta by the pound box and canned tomatoes to make the sauce. Also, the risotto, etc in the small boxes cost a lot. Don't look at the package price, check the unit price, i.e., price per pound. If you buy rice, it is so cheap, e.g. Aldi has a 20 lb bag for under $7-8. There are vegetables that will stay good without refrigeration, e.g., potatoes, onion, garlic, carrots, radish, daikon, eggplant, zucchini, etc. You can also buy dry beans and make soup or beans. Use your own spices like oregano, cumin, red pepper, black pepper, etc and you will not need the prepackaged stuff. The $1 bag of pasta is about 5-6 oz of pasta and 1/4 oz of salt + flavor. For the same $1, you can buy good pasta without those chemicals and salt. Growing up in India, we did not have a fridge and still we did not have to shop every day except for milk. If you eat this packaged food, you will ruin your health. Mankind does not need to eat meat or dairy anyway. Go vegan for best health. Check the recipes at drmcdougall.com, drfuhrman.com, forksoverknoves.com, etc.

    • @oldtimerlee8820

      Ice chest for purchased eggs. Natural, straight from the hen, unwashed can be stored at room temperature. Washing eggs removes the protective coating that allows a hen to lay eggs for days before starting to incubate them, producing baby chicks.

    Girl, you've got one hell of a metabolism. Or, I'm just old...if I ate those foods, I would not be looking nearly as good as you do! -I'm planning on keeping a good amount of food storage, too. Who is it that keeps 2 of everything on top of their rig?? The name escapes me but they've also got the alarm/security system I'm drooling over and I'll be styling something similar to their food storage as well. So, doesn't seem odd to me. We'll just be needing a rather large fridge maybe 10 cubic inches by idunno, something tall. Less than apt size, bigger than a top door cooler, for to store all the leafy greens, super foods and meats I'm forcing the kids to comply with. Muhahaha... Ehem. My 14 yr old isn't happy about that and would much rather eat what you've got going on. 😉 #moms247 😅 Thanks for sharing! 💚

    I used to get Chobony yogurt almost every night until I heard something bad about it.

      Curious Karli I don't remember exactly. But something in the process that makes it toxic.

    I love my "Dead Baby Chickens!" (Eggs.) Question.... Don't they need to be refrigerated?

      They need to be cool but not refrigerated necessarily.

      @@CuriousKarli Commerical eggs should be refrigerated!!! The protective coating that slows down spoilage was removed when the eggs were washed. Eggs, straight from the hen, that have not been washed can be stored at room temperature. That was one of the ways eggs were stored, for short periods of time, when people kept chickens.
