I decided that I'm going to quit as a fanmade charter. There are two reasons for this: - Firstly, charting lately has become a giant mental toll. I stopped finding it fun because I keep placing an impossibly high standard on myself, for example, I limit myself to songs that people are actually familiar with for more views, I try to push myself to includes more gimmick to make my charts stand out. I found myself stopping to chart for my own enjoyment and instead chasing after clout, which is honestly a really sad thing. - Secondly, I'd like to focus myself more on the role of providing tools for the community. Expect good news on this soon! I've been working on a giant project lately (if you're in the Arcthesia discord server you might know what I'm talking about here ;) ) and I'm very excited to share this with everyone as soon as possible. This is not to say that I'll stop charting entirely. I'll still chart as part of collaboration from times to times with my charting team (Pentachrome) because I'm not shackled by my own standard there. But expect no solo works from me for the forseeable future (except for already finished works that I haven't been able to release yet) Thank you for sticking around with me for such a long time and helped me get where I am right now, I'm truly thankful for such a wonderful community. I followed this guy before he took his first step in his journey. Now, I continue to walk forward as a major arc has ended. I still don't know what to say, or how to feel about this personally. What I do know, is that this won't be the last time we'll be seeing of you, of course. It seems like it's time for a new generation of charters to mark their ground, walk the same path, and stand on the shoulders of giants. It's only a matter of time...right? Then, let us continue forth, fellow charters, fellow viewers. Fellow writers, fellow readers.
