As a native, i just want to give a bit of advice. There are plenty of service jobs available, hotels, restaurants etc but SOME of them pay poorly. Don't underestimate your self worth and the value you can bring to a company by staying in a job that pays badly. Ireland is extremely expensive to live in so you need to have a proper income. The more foreign languages you can speak will help too as most of us natives only speak English

They just put a Hiring sign in the window and putting it on their website and social media channels. There is a Galway Job Connector social page that shares jobs in Galway too and sometimes the Galway Advertiser is good here. It isn’t too hard to find a job, you’re right.

I believe first thing you would need to do is translate and verify your degree, which is not cheap at all (at least in Croatia). But putting that aside i dont think it would be hard to get a job.

Ireland have bigger GDP per capita then Switzerland but in the same time around 2-3x lower salaries on average then in Swiss so unless you are not some Doctor,higher ingenieur ,IT expert and similar Ireland are pretty shitty overall with incomes which are on the level of countries with much lower GDP per Capita as spain or Portugal and similar
@@Corrky they are if you compare wages of Doctor,ingeniur,IT and similar in Ireland vs cleaner ,worker in factory in Spain !! 1500-2000 euro in Spain are average salary and so much are in Ireland but you dont count Fancy occupations even fancy ones are well payed in Spain too so again
@@Corrky i know that peoples go to work in Ireland for 1600-2000 euro netto while in Swiss cleaner of streets have 4500-5000 euro and if you work in factory as CNC operater or on some maschine around 6000 euro while in Ireland maybe 2200-2500 if you are lucky

I didn’t have it when I was searching for my 1st job. When I got that job they provided proof of work for me which was needed to get PPS number.

It is very hard to get a job when you are not in Ireland in person, I can confirm that. It would be much easier if you were handing in CV in person.
