If a lighter is use to smoothen the rubber threads on a net, won't the net itself melt

Can i use normal thread? If yes will i double fold the thread or single fold

You can use normal thread if you're making colored beads cause glass beads are transparent that's why the fishing thread is better. I haven't tried the fringes with colored thread though but single fold is ok so the beads can pass through easily

I'm a bit confused about the tying of the fringe, after putting your bead into the thread won't it just be a strand? So I noticed you knotted more than a strand at the back of the sleeves please throw more light

The same way you put your normal thread inside your hand needle is the same way you put it for the beads.
You take it into the needle hole and bring it out will make it 2 strands.
So the strand will be 2 not 1. So you're putting all the beads into the 2 strands.
So at the back of the sleeve, you're knotting the 2 strands and tying it down
