Thank you for watching! 🩷 my machine is a brother kh891 with a kr850 ribber. I enjoy to do manual transfers a lot and don’t use the settings of the machine much. Probably the ones that I use the most would be the holding position to do partial knitting 🤗
Hello Elena, Could you make a video showing how to knit this wonderful pattern you show in minute 0:28. It is just wonderful and I didn't find it between your videos. Greetings from Germany
Elena, another stellar video! When we rely solely on the manuals, we don’t get to learn the tricks used in the industry such as simply using a spare needle for a latch tool and not needing ravel cord. Small time and money savers that add up. Thanks for making the video clear and with no distracting music. Would latch tooling a cast on row and several more rows counteract the curling? Would the direction of the cast on or alternating casting on from the below then above make a difference? I am trying to achieve a finish similar to a Latvian braid. Thank you!
Lilee E , Thank you for your kind words! It is so true, you learn so much when you actually begin working in the industry. Yes, you can definitely can do more rows, I’ve tried a sample with a few rows of chains with one row of plain knitting in between every chain. And every time I went behind every chain all the time if that makes sense. The edge looked very nice and straight and did not curl. I am not sure what would happen if you would alternate the chains but I would assume that we won’t be able to see the chains done with the latch tool above and yarn coming from underneath the needles. I guess a trial could clarify that :). Good luck with your projects. All the best :-)
Thank you for your most informative tutorial. I have been knitting a while but you always learn something new. I just found your videos today and have enjoyed them all. I especially love your technique for a cut and sew neckline. I have now subscribed to your channel and will look forward to your new videos when they become available. Thank you again for sharing your exceptional skills with us, it is much appreciated.
Hi there, Thank you so much for your video. Where did you buy your machine? Can this machine Brother KA-8210 Intarsia Carriage work with your patterns? Thank you for your answer.
Thank you, the main carriage I got off Ebay (biding, and got a great price) and the ribber attachment I got from a lady in one of the machine knitting sales groups on facebook. my intarsia carriage is also KA-8210 so yes it should work 🤗
If you mean the long stitch "cable" stitch it is this video : th-cam.com/video/b5fs6raY0c0/w-d-xo.html from about minute 8:35 onwards. If you mean the lacy one : in this video I am including that as part of a different design: th-cam.com/video/5VXM39MLgsQ/w-d-xo.html from about minute 9:38. Hope this helps 🤗
