I constantly was ridiculed about how I looked, I tried everything to be liked but I was scared to try things because of how it may turn out, including using makeup and having it look bad. The way you present yourself, how happy and upbeat you seem, how positive you are, and the love you show to your followers/subscribers having not even met most of us is inspirational. I find it SOOOO annoying when people come onto youtuber's channels that focus on makeup and complain about how they do their makeup or the amount of makeup they use or the products they use. Don't people understand that not everyone wears their makeup the same way and that some people need or choose to wear their makeup one way over the other? And another thing, lightening can totally effect the way that the makeup looks as well as the camera... I love your videos and all of your tutorials. And of course you look stunning with little makeup or with a natural look but who doesn't want to play around with different makeup looks? Isn't that what makeup is for?? Its wearable art!!!! Keep doing what your are doing because you are seriously one of the best!!!!! HUGS!!!
The NYX HD powder is the EXACT same as the MUFE HD powder! It's all just silica! I also want to note that the Banana powder does not work on every skin tone... :( It really only works on NC/NW25 and deeper. I'm about an NC10 and I use Ben Nye Cameo powder. PS: I love the disclaimer! ;)
Yes, the they are both Silica, just some silica's are more finely milled and the MUFE micro finish comes in a special mesh dispenser that even further sifts the silica for the finest application too, so I guess that's what you pay for! hee hee Usually the banana is great to apply on top because the yellow will help knock out nay under eye color shade going on, but I can see how the Cameo would be better because you are beautifully fair like Snow White, my fav princess!
I took the sifter off my MUFE because I got the mini and my brush didn't fit in all the way, but then again, if you're paying drugstore prices, I guess you're not paying for a sifter! Oh well! No doubt loads of people LOVE banana powder but it just doesn't work for all of us! (I wish it did!) xx
I'm NW35 (sometimes NW30), and I feel like the banana powder makes my skin a little bit yellow? I already have yellow/golden undertones so I think it kind of makes my face look more yellow...
The e.l.f. high definition powder is a great and cheap dupe for this too and I think it's only about $6 online or at Target. I need to try the Ben Nye powders sometime!

Funny how we're never happy with our skin. I am extremely lucky with my skin (no discolouration, no blemishes, no acne scars) but my skin is blank. I do not have freckles and I would LOVE to have your freckles! They look so awesome! They're like stars on your face. Quoting the wonderful Natasha Bedingfield here: "A face without freckles is like a sky without the stars". To all of you who have freckles, embrace them! They're lovely

You can dab any pimple treatment like teat tree oil or even toothpaste (it will help dry it out) then just dab the concealer on those bad boys and powder them so the concealer doesn't smear off!

Yes! Finally someone is using their fingers to apply foundation! The warmth of your skin does an amazing job of really making it look flawless and you can really use your fingers to swipe around to push it into the pores. Super fast too! I think so many make up artist get so caught up brushes and sponges they forget that fingers are a really great tool also. Big fan of your videos, but mostly your character and heart.

I feel like a douche saying this because I love you so much and you are one of my favorite beauty gurus and I feel like I'm disobeying you by saying this, but I find it pretty frustrating that you wear such dark foundations when your skin isn't that dark. I mean, you aren't pale by any means but you aren't super tan like your foundations you use. I was just always told, and it's something I stick by so hard, that you should ALWAYS get a color closest to your skin tone. I feel so mean saying this but when you put darker colors on your skin, it kind of makes you look orangey. And your skin color is so pretty, why wear colors darker than your skin color? I mean, I'm sure these colors work out a lot better in the summer time because summer, weeeeeeeeeeeeee, so tan, mmm sun! But I just feel weird seeing you put such dark colors on such light skin. I keep wondering if it's the camera you have because you have told us that you aren't quite HD but now that I'm seeing your bare face before any foundation, I'm just wondering "why?" It's not like you should be ashamed of light skin! Porcelain is bomb! Idk why I'm ranting so much. I'm pretty sure I'm saying the same thing over and over. Oh well. Anyways, I just wish you would match colors and tones better to your natural skin instead of faking a tan all the time...I love you! I'm sorry I'm a douche! I know a lot of people try and match their face shade with the rest of their skin. Not sure if this applies to Kandee, but people who use tanning lotions/spray tan - their face goes pale faster than their bodies so they use a darker colour to match an overall shade.
Frankie Grz I agree with this as well. I just see so many people who go with a darker shade even when the rest of their skin is not the shade they are putting on their face. It also bugs me when women try to have a flawless complexion just on their face when the rest of their body has damage. It just doesn't match. Like when an older woman with sun damage and saggy looking skin tries to make their face look young with all the makeup and then the rest of them just doesn't seem to fit. It just bugs me when bodies don't match the face. Embrace what you've got. I'm also not exactly a fan of flawless faces anyhow. Why cake on all that makeup? Anyways, I went a little off topic but I do agree with you. If someone's body is tan and their face faded a bit, then sure, match it up.
It might be because she likes to cover her freckles, and darker color foundations cover way better than foundations that are your skin tone or lighter.
I think a lot of women get a much darker foundation color because they spray tan and get the darker color to match their neck and body. At least with some of the gurus I see this. Your face gets lighter from a spray tan much faster than your neck and body.

You're not only beautiful & hilarious but you really take the time to explain every detail so that whether someone is a beginner or has worn makeup for years, everyone can easily follow along & understand. Absolutely loved your finished look! Really makes your eyes pop & is really beautiful! Would love to know what products you used or a tutorial.
You should try and add something other than mascara. Unless you're 12-13, but a complete look is always more fun, even if you add some pink gloss, that would complete your face. Not everyone needs this much makeup, but sometimes the doll look is desired, and this tutorial is amazing to achieve that!

Love the Missha BB Cream! I use it as a full-coverage foundation by dumping a metric bucket-ton all over my face, but I also have to mix it with a white cream to make it pale enough for my bone-colored skin.
Hey kandee :) if u put coconut oil on your sun spots every day for a few weeks they'll go away. right after you wash your face when it's still wet apply the coconut oil. It works amazingly and makes ur skin glow and young. It works like away charm ;) just thought I'd let u know one of my beauty secrets since you share yours with us so much. Xoxo luv u girl.
