    Thanks to you I'm building a PC for gaming this weekend (I already spent a bit more then 1000$), only waiting on the NVMe to arrive.
    I've seen many websites at the internet to get a Windows 10 for a cheap and wondered if they were honest and if it's working long-term.

    • @MikeJohnson1296

      Congratulations for the new PC! There are lots of Key sellers in the market. I tried three different companies, and both stopped working after a couple of months (One of them after less than a month). Also, once I had to upgrade to Windows 11, it stopped working because the key wasn't valid anymore.
      Anyway, I got three keys for all my PCs from BMLKeys and have never looked back since. Zero issues.
      There are some cheaper companies however I instead pay a few extra bucks for peace of mind.
      Hope it helped.

    i remember watching these videos so long ago! like the first big red, along with setup wars season 1. so glad to see budget builds of all things back on the channel, as I definitely checked those out back when I built my first system using your video in 2015. Had a GTX 1070 and i5-7600k, and I used your build a pc guide to build it. 7 years later I built my second pc [third pc ever built since I built my brothers too.] using your updated build a pc and nicknamed it "The Mothership" since my friends made fun of me for spending so much on the pc, but its rocking a ryzen 9 5900x and a rtx 3080. thanks for continuing to make content. much love from mass

    Perfectly adequate build, and it's great to see things returning to normal. Recently purchased my mother a hefty laptop from Walmart that was on sale, i7, 1tb, 8gb of SSD, for under $500. I feel as if some of the sacrifices made,(though understandable to reach that sub $1k price point), could be switched out for infinitely higher quality components, for really minimal costs. The cost to performance was so cheap, I decided to jump on TH-cam and price out budget builds. I just so happened to stumble across this video.
    Not to sound ungrateful, but could you display what's possible if we were to double our price point. I think the performance return on investment is really desirable around that $1500 to $2k price point. Hell, I'll even fund the build, so long as I receive the end product.

    Hey ed love the content. So far i have learned pretty much everything about building a pc from you. But one question i still struggle with when choosing my products is what kind of parts to buy and why. Knowing what is the best option and choosing parts that work in coordination with one another, Where do you start when beginning a build?. Do you choose a specific part and build your parts around that? A video like that would be extremely helpful i think for those of us out there that really know HOW to build one, but have no clue what to choose with so many good and overpriced options out there

      You keep up with the scene to see how parts compare to each other. Once you know your budget and your requirements (to see if you need to spend your entire budget), you go from there. For example, if you only play esports titles (Fortnite, Valorant, CSGO, Apex, etc) you'd go $500 and used market because you're not getting extra performance out of extra money.
      Then you need to figure out what you want. 1080p gaming, 1440p or even 4k? For 4k, you'd probably want an Nvidia card, because you'll need DLSS especially if you want your card to run any game at a comfortable framerate. Playing at a higher resolution puts you at a GPU bottleneck most of the time, so you can get away with cheap CPU.
      Playing at 1080p? What do you want? High FPS in multiplayer titles? Figure out what CPU pushes the most FPS. Need to stream? Nvidia is probably your best bet for a GPU. If not, get the same performance cheaper by going AMD. Any upscaling technology like DLSS is useless at 1080p - you need more pixels to upscale from.
      If you also work or stream, a better CPU might be worth investing. This is true across all price points. However, at the point of this comment I would never go over an i5 12400 or Ryzen 5 5600 for any pure gaming build. You will not see a difference, unless you're looking to reach 360 FPS with an RTX 3080 (or better) at 1080p in absolutely any game - but even a 3080 can't push that high of a framerate in something like COD: Warzone or Battlefield.
      Now that you've figured all of that out, it's up to you see what you wanna spend money on. Ryzen likes fast RAM, Intel fares better with lower timings - but 3200MT/s should be the minimum for any new build. For PSUs, refer to the PSU tier list and choose a good one. For SSDs, there are reviews and tier lists too. For a case, go with an airflow case that's either well reviewed or fits your aesthetic and budget.

    • @sukunaspimp
      @sukunaspimp 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pick the motherboard first if it's Intel based you need Intel chip if it's amd based you need amd chip then you need ram that is compatible with the board then you need the psu to be compatible to most modular are compatible with any board from there any other part you pick is up to you

    • @xpavence4237
      @xpavence4237 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@b0ne91 thats a lot of info thank you for that. So to be honest, what i really want is not much limitation. If a game comes out then i really wanna play at an insanely high framerate. I wanna be able to do that. But i understand i can get that out of parts that dont have to be top of the line. So in that case. Usually what i would play is games like no mans sky, the forest, fortnite, and i plan to buy some call of duty games that come out later on.

    Great video! A few questions:
    1) You have chosen 1 TB QLC Device...does it make sense to use TLC?
    2) Expander ports are SATA...should I think about NVMe for storage?

    i love your channel man keep up the good work. this is something im looking forward to when i build my own computer. Ans i would enjoy these videos more if you maybe added some more games and showed what they were running at like, ark survival evolved, or some rust. and that would be perfect. just curious on what fps would be looking like on thoes types of games.
