This is the 13th published movie of Super Mario World that beats the game by clearing 11 of the 96 exits, the shortest route intended by the game developers. It improves upon the previous run by 2.74 (165 Frames @60.098813897441 FPS) seconds. Mario still dies in the process. Improvements include:
* Better block duplication in Yoshi's Island 3
* Better P-switch use in Yoshi's Island 4
* Lag reduction in many levels

Because CTRL+ALT+DEL is usually a comedic webcomic, people mocked the dramatic shift of that specific comic for years, simplifying it into a series of lines you see at 5:28

Can someone tell me what happened in Iggy's castle
This trick has been explained a few times in the past. From what I remember, the runner does some crazy fix-your-game-nintendo janky-hack-mate TAS magic to smuggle an orb into the item reserve.
DarkShamilKhan correct me if I’m wrong but he made the yoshi stick out his tongue, jumped off and fireballed the Rex which made him a coin. He collected the coin while yoshi’s tongue was on it causing him to grab the orb and then clipped into the block and die. This orb would allow iggy’s castle to be finished quickly. If he did the exact same trick on yoshi’s island 2 the credits would end early

I know a decent amount about Smw glitches, but I have no clue wtf happened in Yoshi's Island 4. The goal tape isn't even in the main world, so you can't do a sprite swap. One of you masters of Mario wizardry explain to me what I saw please.

Why is the orb glitch allowed alongside glitched exits in all of the first 3 levels in the run, but not cloud glitch? It just seems all too confusing as to what is and isn't allowed in this TAS.
That's a decent question, which was briefly addressed in the submission text:
"The SMW speedrun community uses a glitch known as the cloud glitch, which allows beating Bowser much faster. However, that particular glitch is prohibited in this category because the manipulations required to resume gameplay after getting the cloud are considered arbitrary code execution. The orb glitch, although looks similar, happens entirely inside the game's ROM and is thus allowed."
In short, the execution pointer jumps to Open Bus in the cloud glitch, which allows you to do pretty much whatever you want. The orb glitch, in contrast, is fully deterministic and restrained to the ROM.

There was a completion glitch in yoshi's island 4?! That's crazy o.o
He abused the game's stun mechanics to spawn an invisible Reznor boss, which triggered the end of the level upon being killed.
This run actually isn’t good enough because he didn’t write out anything funny in the big boo fight, they’re gonna have to do it again.

Wait, I don't get it. My record is 5:52 and the tas is still minutes longer than mine? I didn't do any glitches, just shortcuts. How do I enter my video into the records? It's on VHS though from back when I was 16-17 in the early 90s and I can still do it under six minutes (I played on my SNES a few days ago just for fun to show my friends) and they kept pushing me to go on the record holders and do it live on AGDQ which I checked and saw it's for charity which is very cool. How do I go about doing this? I would love to help raise money for charity if that's still a good time I have? I don't care about being the best, I've won enough awards when I was younger and still have them, but charity is what really matters if it helps others in need.
