LAte to the game on this one. Great review! Have considered these, but ribbon tweeter at only 8 feet away makes me a bit fearful of dispersion/mid-woofer integration. You did say it was well combined, though. Did you guys feel it still could connect well in a mid-filed application?
Thank you for your excellent riffs! Your reviews bring me back to how I started in the late 70s. Too bad we didn't get these Majistra or JBE 3s in Canada. My HiFi journey was amazingly similar; I had the Rega P3 (RB300/ Denon DL-103), later LP-12 /Ekos/ Troika, and instead of the Naim Nait, I chose the A&R Cambridge A60 (the walnut case got me 😍), later upgraded to Naim 42.5 > 32.5 and 72 /HiCap / 140 > 135s. Of course, Linn Kans, Sara > Sara9 > Sara9 Bi-wires > Naim SBL (presently ATCs) and of course, a Nakamichi BX-200 too🤣🤣🤣🙏🙏🙏

Just recently discovered this channel so I'm late to the party with these videos. The feature that gives the isobaric system its name was not mentioned: as there's a second, identical mid-bass driver behind the main one, working in unison, the air pressure behind the latter is constant. This allows the mid-bass to go higher without cone break-up even with larger than average driver excursion.
Hi the majistra are 88db not 86 db , i have the ministra 86db , not really knowing much about sensitivity and amp matching , would these be a significant upgrade over my ministras which i feel need a lot of volume to get the best out of them with my roksan attessa streaming amp , should i stick with the ministra and swap my amp out ,or with the 2db increase be a better match for my amp . Great review as always , thanks
I love the Ministras, and the Roksan amp is cool too... You could give these a go, but sadly, I think that to have a significant upgrade to your lovely combo may be expensive. Mike
Three and a half large for small stand mounts! Nothing new here. Both the bass loading and the ribbon have been around for decades. Just can't see the value here.

Can the ribbon get a bit bright and fatiguing with certain music?
I gave my Neat petites to my son,can I drive the majistras with my Nait 1? (Maybe not)
What about the Neat MINISTRAs with the Nait?
