They think slum is how India is and only some "parts" are different, i.e better. They tend to believe India is mostly a slum, thanks to Western media and this seems to confirm that stereotypes are still strong. India is not a slum, only some parts are slums (there are slums in USA and European countries too!), We are not as rich as USA but things here are not costly as in those countries too!
