I have no words to thank you for this FASCINATING TRIP IN TIME and for showing me the original location of one of my favorite movies. I saw this movie for the first time on black and white TV in the 70's in Argentina. My best friend and I played WW2, all the days but the Germans were imaginary because none of us wanted to impersonate them... 😂. Today I am 60 years old and had a wonderful childhood. THANK YOU, THANK YOU for this beautiful gift!!. Saludos desde Argentina 🇦🇷!!
Salute, words can’t express I’ve been watching this movie for years can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched it I could go on and on and on……..thank you bestest movie ever…………
You’re welcome and no! I think most of the buildings back then were falling down.. I could see lots of walls and buildings that had been rebuilt over the years.
Amazing.. Didn't know that movie was shot there.. A dream, opportunity to visit for a European by car.. My absolute favorite war movie when you talk about entertainment value..!👍😘👌
Excellent work. Well done. I've never seen a location trip for Kelly's Heroes. For us Brits, Kelly's Heroes and Where Eagles Dare are two of the most repeated war films on telly. My two favourite war films (and Zulu). Fantastic stuff. Cheers.
Where Engles dare could be on the cards in 2025, like you I love the film, a great cast and story line. We also visited Colditz and the Great escape locations this year.. be sure to check them out too 😊👍🏼
What an awesome narration! Thank you for sharing and explaining these filming locations. I've been watching Kelly's Heroes since I was a kid. So many incredible actors in this sadly almost all have passed.
The best war movie ever made! This film inspired my love of the second world war and love of history in general. I remember watching this as a young lad with my late father. Very fond memories and fascinating to see the comparisons today. Good work.
Great then and now video. Kelly's Heroes has got to be right up there as far as war movies goes. Lost track now as to how many times the kids and I have watched it.
Loved this movie from about the age of 5 I'm 40 now and can recite it line for line. What a fantastic video this was to come across randomly. Great work and thank you.
I love this video thank you. This was the first movie I was allowed to stay up late to watch with my dad at the age of ten. I'm 54 now and it's left such a mark on me as a person and I just love this film! Don't hit me with those negative waves man🤣
It’s one movie and one place I’ve been wanting to visit for years.. it’s one of the highlights of the trip for me & one off the bucket list, thank you ☺️
Always thought that scene at 8:44 where the cameraman keeps the camera rock steady, and in focus to catch Donald Sutherland's amused expression as the tank stops just short of Kelly was simply outstanding camerawork!
This is brilliant ! My favourite film since I saw it in 1970 when I was 13 years old . Going to see where films are made is a hobby for me so this was a real bonus for me . Well done ! I recently followed some locations in Kefalonia for ‘Captain Correlli’s mandolin’ Also ‘The Holiday ‘in Shere near Guildford can see the bridge Cameron Diaz runs across and the field where they built the cottage for the film . Also BBC TV locations for ‘Strike ‘ in London and ‘Beyond Paradise ‘in Looe Cornwall
Great. The film is one of my favorites. I already knew that it was filmed in the former Yugoslavia. Thank you so much for the documentary. You made my day.
& thank you.. you’ll find other movie sets on the channel, as well as war bunkers from all around Europe. Ghost towns, caves and much more.. I work, travel and live full time in a motorhome.. TH-cam is my hobby 😁
You gotta love those Russian made T34 Tiger tanks. Lmao! If anyone is interested a few years back. A British magazine made an issue on Kelly's Heroes should still be available on the internet somewhere? I saw it with my family at a Drive-in theater in 1970 when it opened. If any are left. I recommend you try to get the owner to show it there. It was a great and enjoyable experience. I just wish Mr. Eastwood understood just how much we enjoyed that movie like his spaghetti westerns (Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly). It'll always be this boomer's favorite. As a film fan born when they made good movies. Thank you, sir!
Wow, this was amazing the camera angles fro today are spot on with the film angles!! Must be quite hard to find exact spots with so many buildings being demolished and other changes! Thoroughly thank you for posting!!!
My all-time favourite film. I went to see I the week it went on release at the Odeon in Brentwood, long gone now like some of the buildings in the town of Clemont. Thank you so much for doing this. I'd have loved to have visited the area it was filmed in. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Absolutely amazing, still one of my favourite films. As a thirteen year old, obsessed with tanks, when it came out, I was absolutely captivated by the film. I believe it was very loosely based on one of the biggest heists of all time. I have a small model of Oddball's Sherman on my study shelf.
Fantastic!! I love this film and your video here is a must watch for any fan. Wow!! Just awesome mate. Oh and by the way " Up Yours Baby" Thank you so much for this. 😁
I was a freshman in high school me and my gal went and seen this in the town of mt.vernon ky. The song played on the radio at the timeand i loved the song and seen the movie and it brought back a time in my life I want forget thanks
What a great War movie with humour and a great star cast. Love Donald Sutherland's character. The attack on Germans with the Tanks with loud speakers and music is a laugh and a half. Interesting seeing the locations then and now. Excellent film.🙂😄🇭🇲🦘👍✌️👋 From Australia.

I agree Kevin, I’m 55 and finding myself on a road trip I had to make a point to visit the place.. I’m so happy I did… ☺️
One day I hope to go myself. 😊.
It’s not too far off the tourist route… suggest researching restaurants on or around the route as theres nothing in Clermont 😝
Absolutely beautiful. Thank you.
