Great video. And getting a flat like that is definitely one of my bigger fears about adventure riding. Glad you were able to sort it out and finish the trip. Campground looked awesome. Thanks for sharing! Subbed.

Thanks! That was the first one in 4 years, so I was due I think. Paint Creek Campground is one of the nicer ones for sure! Thanks for watching!!!

cant go wrong with the DRZ!!! Mine got stolen and insurance gave me just enough to grab a used 701 :D still miss it tho I want to get one as my main bike so i can keep the 701 for extra fun stuff.

That's horrible your bike was stolen, but glad you got a replacement! I'm eyeing a 690 Enduro as my next ride. If you had to do it all over again, would you still choose the 701/690?

@@GooseADV YES!! It's a street bike on the street and a dirt bike on the dirt. I love it. So fast so much torque. It's not an apocalypse bike but it's exactly what I wanted for a daily driver. I feel like the fastest thing on the road but it's so light I feel in full control. Here's some details that might help you in your search:
I did a ton of research and if you can find a 2018 701 it has all the modern upgrades to the engine (Extra counter balancer more HP and more high end power) but a year before they added all the extra tech. It only has ABS and it's super easy to perma-disable.
If you buy a 2018 (which I HIGHLY recommend): FIRST BEFORE RIDING write down the VIN and call a certified Husqvarna dealer's parts department to make sure the 2 recalls (one for master brake cylinder and one for the camshaft decompression system blowing a whole in your valve cover) were previously serviced. If not IMMEDIATELY drop the bike off for those and you'll have a reliable fast AF bike that is whatever you need it to be whenever you need
From there the classic mods (exhaust, power commander ECU remap, open up the air box) will get you a nice boost in HP. And it will wheelie up to 60mph+. I go for light weight so no fuel tank for me but you might want to upgrade your fuel tank I have to refuel every 100mph.

I wondered that same thing. Would like to go back there soon and finish that section with a large group of riders but what's the chance someone else will get a nail? And how bad would I feel purposely bringing them through there? Its an adventure!

Go tubeless at least on the rear.

    I carry a electric pump

Good to have something! I previously brought a hand pump to save space, but wanted to try the CO2. I'll give it another try with the 25g cartridges vs the 16g ones I used.
