I'm not aware of the background behind this gorgeous piece of work, but what I just heard was so hauntingly melancholic and so calming. It was equally exquisite in it melody, tone, and feeling it gave me, which made my eyes close immediately. Of course, I watched it again because I wanted to appreciate the video in this stunning, abandoned building. For me, it was the perfect metaphor for how I'm feeling. I see my life as very black and white, old, left abandoned to ruin but then out of the darkness, comes the magnificent, beautifully decorated spiral staircase, that has not decayed, showing me that there is a path full of beauty to take me out of the darkness. Yes, it will be a struggle, depicted so beautifully by the decorative spiral, that tells me it is not a straightforward journey. But keep climbing and there is light waiting for me when I reach the top. It's absolutely incredible how this made me feel. It filled my heart with hope. That's the one part that's always been missing, from the jigsaw we call life. I feel peaceful.. Thank you, Eliott, for this magical piece. The shoot and production of the video complement the Erhu perfectly. Full of soul and feeling. I feel I can now breathe freely. Thank you, my dear friend. 🫶🏽✨️✨️

The erhu is one of my favorite instruments, and this piece is one I often listen to on repeat to quiet my ADHD mind. This rendition is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. The erhu gives it a brighter sound than the original cellos & violins, which makes it feel less morose, but there's still a certain somber quality to the composition overall. Ah, just spectacular. This abandoned building gives me a sense of hopelessness. Like an abandoned soul. Overwhelming with sandness, while the repetitive motive of the song, I perceive as lament and cry. The little light that comes by, only sheds its truth on the destruction it has been made to it. It made me cry.
But Spiral does symbolize the process of the journey of soul. I guess we all have to go through moments of darkness to reach the light in our journey here on the earth.
The place is special, hidden in a forgotten valley where nobody lives anymore. When we went there, it was the deep winter and we spent the night in that freezing cold castle... It's an amazing memory now for us :)

Ahh Love this cover Nature of Day Light i guess we can all agree this cover vs the orginal like in Arrival is more slightly lighter 😂. To me I think this is not completely sad or hopeless in Arrival there was a healing and moment of moving forward for the griefing mother 😊. And I must say filming in a Castle thats lonely at night, would have scared me 😂.

This track is hypnotic... a perfect choice of note, doing a cover of that piece was always on my mind but it is a bit tricky on a 2 strings "violin"
There is a subtle nuance to this interpretation which makes the piece sound slightly more energetic and less heavy. I like it.
