Rick was actually sober in this episode, no burping, no slurring, he didn’t drink any of the wine. I didn’t notice it at first but it’s interesting. I wonder how long it will last.
Nice find. I doubt it'll last too long since it wasn't INTENTIONAL on his part; he starts the episode off practically dead and is then forced to focus on Mister Nimbus immediately upon returning to Earth, a presence he finds so compelling that he doesn't stop for anything. It's interesting that Rick usually wishes to stay away from time travel but there are 2 instances in which the manipulation of time is utilized: the Rick and Morty that travel back in time in the "Snake Jazz" episode and the "Narnia" in this season's premiere
@@vincevvn it could be time travel if we define time travel as "making time pass faster than you experience it" so yes, it would count as time travel, in fact it's the only possible time travel we know of.
I mean not really; gary stue's often don't have themselves stripped of power, if you want to create a gar stue or a self insert then you don't STRIP them of weapons and power. Often self inserts are lifted above the other characters, not slowly pushed to be a background character.

You're literally creating a service to encourage people to use your ad service and then paying people for using your said ad service effectively being a 3RD party ad system that is effectively fraud. On a small scale this is innocent enough but if you get this large enough this will have a knock on effect, creating viewers into payers does provide an incentive for the user to engage and you're removing actual competitors in the youtube ad space department for content creators, however this idea of yours is literally going to spawn copy cats and mega corps will just do the same thing once they see it's cheaper and more effective to do so, paying 3M people 3 cents rather than paying a mega cooperation 3M dollars.

Mini theory: mister nimbus controls the police because he helped the government/the president capture poseidon, that's how they have him in area 51 and that's why nimbus is called king of the sea
Morty has become so desensitised to violence and extremely awful situations over the series it’s actually really thought provoking to see how his character has developed. (Or in some cases, regressed)
As season 5 wraps up and I come back to this video all I can say is, WOW, Matt was spot on with the Morty wanting to be his own main character 😂 (even if it was evil Morty)
A reality with a Mr Nimbus who shares canonical backstory seems to be an important detail in picking out a new reality to move to... Mr Nimbus is the equivalent of like a house with a finished basement to Rick.
Mmm...I don´t know if it´s important to point out that Morty is sitting in the HEAD of the table while Rick is next to him, like a SIDEKICK. This has been the arrange for at least for a couple episodes previews.
Rick rarely sits at the head of the table. I think Beth and Summer have the highest counts for sitting at the head of the table. Rick usually sits close to Beth.
I think Rick will spiral down the path you are talking about, convincing he doesn’t need his family and must have vengeance to them. This sets up a reason for C-137 Rick and Evil Morty to potential team up, learning about both characters stories and could turn to have Rick being the real villain.
That would be an interesting take. Like this entire season is actually set in the past where evil morty (aka C-137’s original morty) turns evil. Would make sense given a quote from Rick when he said “an overconfident morty can lead to some bad problems... I’ll explain when you’re older”
Can we mention how Summer in her TikTok adverts speaks on her side character position despite capabilities and in this episodes is heavily useful in her own story that we don't see
Here's a theory, well prediction: the next time we see Evil Morty, he won't be antagonistic to the main Rick we follow. I agree with the previous theory that Evil Morty has a personal vendetta against main Rick (I forget the universe designation) and might even be his original Morty. I believe at this point Evil Morty has already won and knows it. At this point, main Rick is noticing his isolation and weaknesses more which leaves two paths: self-destruction or self-improvement. If Rick self-destructs, then Evil Morty just has to sit back and watch as main Rick makes his own life harder and harder and himself more miserable. If he self-improves, the main Rick is no longer the man Evil Morty wants revenge on, and as an extra bonus the person Rick becomes would disgust the Rick that wronged Evil Morty. He can let main Rick go so he can focus on ruling the rest of the Ricks of the multiverse. It would flip the usual vengeance story on its head, because normally the antagonist wants vengeance specifically when their target is becoming a better person and fit the themes being set up in this season as you have Evil Morty, a two-episode recurring character with more agency than most of the main cast, just off-screen.
"where Rick has all the agency" Words that really resonate with the finale this time around Plus the mention of robotic birds and the break up of r&m.. even if it was a little off
Morty’s family was somewhat dysfunctional even before Rick arrived on their doorstep years ago. His presence has more or less complicated things for the family, but I believe when the rest of the family discovers why Rick left and what happened to his wife, it may tear the family apart. Idk, just a theory, either way, if it comes to that, there’s bound to be a lot of emotional drama. Which this show has a penchant for when the writers want to delve into more serious topics.
I really want Rick to break down and just tell everything near the end of the season. His whole backstory, but at that point it won’t matter-he’ll be too broken with no one to hear it besides the audience.
@@pelwanm.m5614 I know. Namor vs. Fantastic fits way more to what we saw though. Even the sexual stuff is kinda funny due to Namor constantly tempting Sue for years. Plus the 2 kinda hate each other.

It’s also implied that nimbus had a threesome with Rick and Diane because he knows Dianes name and when jerry and Beth are talking about the threesome they say ‘you wouldn’t understand’ to Rick and nimbus replies ‘oh yes he would’
An interesting note, and a bit more evidence of Morty becoming Rick: When getting Jessica back, Morty did say "Yeah, I guess I am an a**hole! Y'know, sometimes you gotta be an a**hole! My grandpa taught me that!" My GRANDPA taught me that...
Another great thing to back up the "Rick being an object in someone else's story" point -- When Rick comes in to save Morty & Jessica he literally refers to himself as a Deus Ex Machina.
I wanna say no. Just because she experienced a lot of time passing to the point of having an existential crisis does not make her able to control time itself (as far as we know at the moment) if anything the Narnia people, I would say, are more like time Gods because they have the ability to freeze someone within their own time space. Idk there's my three cents on your question ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I’m not on the Morty becomes Rick train yet, but the second I see Morty building a sci-fi gadget on his own then I’ll definitely be on board. So far all we’ve seen is him using stuff that Rick made, but the second he makes something for himself I’ll be sold.
He's shown to have some understanding of advanced tech, not sure if he actually knows how they work exactly. But yeah, that should be the next step if this theory has any chance.
@@Martin-yh7vi exactly! He mostly knows how use it, or at the least is able to work stuff out like in the insideout summer episode, but as soon as he is able to MAKE something from scratch, I’ll buy into the theory.
And for sure his gadgets should be more superior than the gadgets of other intergalactic civilizations. Because what I don’t like is that the Rick’s technologies became somewhat of mediocre. There’s at least should be the balance and this family should be ahead of the Mulriverse
another thing is that morty says to rick: how many enemies do you have, why is everything a fight with you but as morty gets more wine for mr nimbus, he unintentionally makes enemies with the Narnia people
He was kind of right as to where Morty becomes less of a sidekick, but its just that. Rick is admiting that he needs Morty and they are working together and becoming a better team. If Morty does replace Rick, it won't be for a very long time (at least in my opinion)
Me, *clicks the link in the description* TH-cam: The Video isn’t available in your country Matpad: „Go ahead and watch the video, Ill still be here afterwards🥰“
So far this is pretty spot on. Episode 2 nobody is really front and center because it's a bunch of decoys killing each other for 30 minutes. Episode three focuses on Morty becoming the avatar so he can get with crazy discount captain planet while Rick has the B-plot with Summer. And in episode four, Morty is the focus while Rick takes more of a sidekick role. MatPat is really well educated and spot on a lot of the time
I always liked the fact that Rick was this, self-caring, can wipe out anyone in his path without a sweat and all of that stuff, that's what I always saw rick and morty for and I still do. I have a feeling Rick will isolate himself from everyone and maybe reflect on what he's done to at least better himself. If not, Rick'll just become a toy for the show, and I don't want that.
If rick became replaced or turned to be the side kick in the adventures, id never watch the show again. It'll ruin the show forever and I'd never forgive them.
"In the vat of acid episode where Morty has to learn life only matters if there are consequences to your actions." I mean did he though? They left there so he really didn't have any consequences. The whole point was don't insult the vat of acid, or really don't question what Rick does.
The reason they zoomed in on the tooth is because it's what the rival civilization used to map Mortys DNA, it can be seen later on in the episode being studied in their futuristic science lab
I think the Second episode just strait up proved all our theory's towards the show being episodic, and also inconsequential. The creators are screaming at us... Nobody belongs anywhere. Everybody's gonna die. Come watch TV. [Edit]: But now you have me thinking it's a little bit of both again. XD
Especially the fact that it camera focused Morty loosing his tooth, and nobody even mention the teeth again throughout that whole episode. My new theory is we follow C1-37 Rick for our lore adventures. And ricks from relative timelines for the nonsensical ones.
@@XopheAdethri yeah, I could see that in the first episode with Jessica. But the second episode was without a doubt some sort of testimony made by the creators, that I’m just waiting for Mat Pat to put into words what I noted briefly. It’s almost like the creators watch our theories. ; )

I mean not really; gary stue's often don't have themselves stripped of power, if you want to create a gar stue or a self insert then you don't STRIP them of weapons and power. Often self inserts are lifted above the other characters, not slowly pushed to be a background character.
Just to add what you're doing is possibly against TH-cam's rules and I reported your content, if youtube thinks it's valid fine that's their call; if it's not then good luck.

I think Rick will spiral down the path you are talking about, convincing he doesn’t need his family and must have vengeance to them. This sets up a reason for C-137 Rick and Evil Morty to potential team up, learning about both characters stories and could turn to have Rick being the real villain.

@@Givens43Yeah, that's why I love it and Mat.

MR NIMBUS CONTROLS THE POLICE AND MY HEART
Morty’s family was somewhat dysfunctional even before Rick arrived on their doorstep years ago. His presence has more or less complicated things for the family, but I believe when the rest of the family discovers why Rick left and what happened to his wife, it may tear the family apart. Idk, just a theory, either way, if it comes to that, there’s bound to be a lot of emotional drama. Which this show has a penchant for when the writers want to delve into more serious topics.
Wouldn't Beth know? Guessing it happened when she was just a kid and still with her Mum.
I really want Rick to break down and just tell everything near the end of the season. His whole backstory, but at that point it won’t matter-he’ll be too broken with no one to hear it besides the audience.

He literally became rick in the anime short.

Yeah all those Mortys that died could of just been regrowed in the citdel of ricks
The reason they zoomed in on the tooth is because it's what the rival civilization used to map Mortys DNA, it can be seen later on in the episode being studied in their futuristic science lab
Yes but like the graves they can come back up more than once
I remember when he was complaining about no more Rick and Marty episodes to theorize about
I think the Second episode just strait up proved all our theory's towards the show being episodic, and also inconsequential. The creators are screaming at us... Nobody belongs anywhere. Everybody's gonna die. Come watch TV. [Edit]: But now you have me thinking it's a little bit of both again. XD
It definitely advanced the "Secondary characters are the lead in this week's episode" part of the thesis Matpat lays out.
It’s almost like the creators watch our theories. ; )
