I just found a new friend who told me he listens to "instrumental music mostly". But look now we are both screaming out our lungs to "BLACK ROCK SHOOTAAA" 😂 It's been 14 years.
One image. One image inspired someone completely unrelated to write a song. That song inspired others also unrelated to write multiple manga, Multiple anime, and multiple games. But in the beginning it was just one Image of a girl and her gun. Black Rock Shooter is probably the strangest media I've ever come across. It'll do something, it's fans will come out, then BRS will disappear again for who knows how long.. before suddenly appearing again in another format to repeat.. it's like it never dies, just goes to sleep for a bit until someone gets inspired again. Most anime are made to promote the original work. Manga, VN's, light novels.. But BRS's original work isn't being sold, it's an image on the internet anyone can see at any time. So the fact that there is so much media surrounding this one single image, who's only selling point is the name recognition is incredible to me. Never before have I seen so many works spawn from one image of one girl, with no set setting, no set lore.. just a girl and her big gun. And yet people keep finding ways of adapting her to so many different stories. Heck, maybe the lack of detail is what makes that possible. A girl that gives off a vague feeling of loneliness, yet hope, and the imagination of those inspired by her. This song has been a part of my life for a long time, since before any of the anime, yet it still makes me tear up to hear it. Huke, you made something amazing. Thank you for what you made.
I teared up reading this, and I am a much newer BRS fan. I heard about the latest BRS anime, and something about her set me off. I researched EVERYTHING about the character, the song, the show, the covers...all of it. I can absolutely not tell you what it is about her that breaks my heart and yet it inspires me. All I can say is it does. I look forward to her rise again someday, in a new form, adding to the tale.

(I was hard into Genshin around then) until he told me about the BRS collab and I'm like.. "Well crap.. now I HAVE to play it." And initially, I didn't like it. The first character I found I liked was Nanami, but I HATED how Lucia and Liv felt to play as... until I got Lucia's Plume by chance. Playing her just felt.. REALLY good. And that's about when I started actually enjoying the game. Liv's playstyle is starting to grow on me too now. And what's great about that is when I eventually replace her for BRS as my main (They're both Attack units), I'll still have a fully built Plume for stuff that require a second team.
I have to pretty much thank this anime. Because of this, I started watching and drawing anime. I then got into my dream Arts school, because I excelled at drawing anime styles and making manga. All because of finding vocalod, and then this anime, my life has been made. Thank you.
I think I finally realized why the lyrics ask where she is, talking about fond memory and sounding so sad and stuff. Remember that Black Rock Shooter started off as a rejected character concept--she was cast away by her creator and it was unknown at the time if she'd ever truly be anything.
The anime was simply amazing. Almost everyone says that it was stupid and the drama was useless, I think that the idea was really original and amazing.
I know that they tried to put too much things in the anime, but with the story the battles had at least a reason. But I agree that the fights were amazing

i saw that anime for the first time in 2012 and was one of my favorite battle type anime ever, and i still love it! i have to thank Haku (creator of the anime) a lot, i got really INSPIRED because of it, i just became a game developer because of this anime too, it's kinda strange history how that happened, lol: well, just when i finished watching the whole anime, i looked up for some BRS games, that i found one made on PSP, just a year after playing this game again i suddenly got the idea to try making games by myself, and one of my BIGGEST plans at the time was an attempt to make a BRS platform game, i had no idea how it would looks like (which i wasn't able to make one completely/releasable just yet, i've been like 2013 to 2016 trying to make a releasable BRS game and just gave up, but i'm back with good ideas for the game and STILL planning to work on it again in this year of 2020.). even not being able to release a BRS game i released for some other differents types of game like a Touhou one, and i've never been so glad to be as i am now, as never thought that i would have fun creating/coding games, so thank you so much Haku! For me ,I've had my doubts before watching the anime, but after that ,I find it quite awesome to watch , both the OVA and the tv series ,especially the latter . Sure it was corny and dramatic as hell,and some what confusing in the firs few episodes , but in the end ,they all come together and make you have that moment of " Ooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh,....i get it",and did it in a way that actually was really touching too ( wont deny it , I've cried a little bit).And of course , the action scene was amazing,intense ,over the top ,staying true to the anime style we have seen before. All in all , i definitely would suggest this to anyone who havent seen it

Black Rock Shooter is my all-time favourite song. Mainly because it gives me that little bit of courage at times where I am feeling a bit scared. Plus, I just love it in general. :D

i saw that anime for the first time in 2012 and was one of my favorite battle type anime ever, and i still love it!
i have to thank Haku (creator of the anime) a lot, i got really INSPIRED because of it, i just became a game developer because of this anime too, it's kinda strange history how that happened, lol:
well, just when i finished watching the whole anime, i looked up for some BRS games, that i found one made on PSP, just a year after playing this game again i suddenly got the idea to try making games by myself, and one of my BIGGEST plans at the time was an attempt to make a BRS platform game, i had no idea how it would looks like (which i wasn't able to make one completely/releasable just yet, i've been like 2013 to 2016 trying to make a releasable BRS game and just gave up, but i'm back with good ideas for the game and STILL planning to work on it again in this year of 2020.).
even not being able to release a BRS game i released for some other differents types of game like a Touhou one, and i've never been so glad to be as i am now, as never thought that i would have fun creating/coding games, so thank you so much Haku!

For me ,I've had my doubts before watching the anime, but after that ,I find it quite awesome to watch , both the OVA and the tv series ,especially the latter . Sure it was corny and dramatic as hell,and some what confusing in the firs few episodes , but in the end ,they all come together and make you have that moment of " Ooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh,....i get it",and did it in a way that actually was really touching too ( wont deny it , I've cried a little bit).And of course , the action scene was amazing,intense ,over the top ,staying true to the anime style we have seen before. All in all , i definitely would suggest this to anyone who havent seen it

omg I love black rock shooter I watched this anime a few days ago for others that haven't seen it go watch it like now its awesome!
Though the anime, game, and movie/OVA are all different, I loved Black Rock Shooter, too. The OVA movie was best in my opinion.
