I remember hearing of a scene that was never filmed of when the characters were in the palace of Kongs, two characters explored the passages and found a room with paintings of the war on the walls. we were then to get an entire scene of the war, showing Godzilla and a few members of Kong's race as the last survivors of the conflict. I think the reason this scene was cancelled was because of budget problems. the movie was expensive enough as it was. I'll have to look it up again.
You know, I love the idea of both sides having allies from different kaiju species Godzilla could have Mothra, Angurius, Rodan, etc. Kong could have Behemoth, Scylla, the MUTOs, etc.
