You hit it exactly on the head, ive been telling everyone the problem with Greymon lies with needing to always attack to accomplish anything. I been playing greymon tribal even before it was a real deck dating back to set 1. This decks relevance fell due to the ace mechanic. Amazing and insightful video
I really like the format for this video, as a newer player some of the content creators kind of glaze over base interaction and it gets confusing. I really appreciate the pacing and set up and look forward to more!
@@DIGI-PANDA right now I've been lookin at blue base Hybrid, and would love to see a post ban brainstorm about combo lines and additions note that they had ukko hit
Gaiomon paired with bt12 WGM has been putting in amazing work for me. Having gaio as the alternative mega to dedigivolve the potentially blast target before it can evo on attack or even Bt12 MGM attack x anti evo into Gaio and dedigivolve/pierce thru potential target is so clutch. I personally do a 3/3 split of bt12 WGM and Gaiomon for my otk build. And depending on the boardstate is whom i go into off the MetalGreymon. If its safe WGM is the go to but if it looks dicey Gaio is so useful and aggressive. I definitely appreciate your thoughts on this list you created. Bt17 Greymon is such a powerhouse and opens the door for so much creativity.
My only concern with the de-digivolve overall is some decks can run both the level 5 and level 6 blast digivolution targets. Meaning if you de-digivolve the 6 to 5, they could have another one sitting in hand. If Gaiomon de-digivolved 2 or prevented digivolving for the turn, that'd be major clutch. I see the perks of it though as well and it can also reboot into a blocker if you're utilizing BT12 Tai Kamiya.
@DIGI-PANDA yessir, the combo hasn't given me any issues yet. Only time it's tough is if they hard dropped their lv5 so it couldn't be Dedigi obviously. I do run hades so dropping hades to pop their lv5/6 then going into Gaio or (having the gaio/wgm already evolved is clutch just in case.) Then dropping hades followed by the greymon attacking the player or in WGM case activated Raid.
You definitely can! Blocker Tai helps with keeping stuff on your turn. The only issue comes down to your training options because then they can bottom deck your tamer.
A pretty interesting take on one of my favorite decks and on my birthday no less! I don't know exactly if I'd run it, but it's definitely something to keep in mind if I want to go back to an old classic with a twist.
Happy Birthday! It's a valid argument! I think one issue with red decks in general right now is the outright deletion used to be strong. But now you have so many Digimon with armor purge, protection from deletion or even abilities to float into another body that make red one of the weakest colors in the game now. And while raid was a great keyword that added additional ways to delete your opponent's Digimon by battle.. the introduction of blast digivolution really nerfed this ability as well.
I've seen a variant of this that splashes in a couple of BT17 Metalgarurumon, Omnimon Ace, and a single Tai & Matt BT17. I think its a fun deck from how it looks implementing the new Omnimon and would catch someone off guard. Deck uses the black Tai cards so maybe running Laplace's Demon is tempting.
That sounds like it's purely the DNA Omnimon version of the deck. Your Metalgarurumons can only digivolve off blue or Gabumons. And if you run either, then you're basically dropping everything else in between and going for purely warp or on play. Interestingly, the black Tai Kamiya could be used for redirects and card draw. But it's a very high roll deck regardless in my opinion.
Really cool, it play around ace card and depends on the board state, you can choose how many sec greymon effect you need. Also thanks to ace and blocker almost everywhere, i notice I having a difficult time to adjust to the current state of the game.(Or win rather) Pain, but it's been fun. My favorite deck to playtest recently is SoC dorugamon deck. Fenrirlogarmon bt12 such a beast genarate an flexible board present depends on the situation.
The only unfortunate element of the deck is that it doesn't really have blockers. So if your opponent can chip you down to 5 and put a body in the raise, you have to win that turn. Been debating on whether I want to commit on dropping the training options for memory boosts because that also helps you with hard dropping Wargreymon but it also bottom decks your Tais. Luckily with SoC Dorugoramon, the fact you can force collision means they could potentially lose their ACE Digimon which will overflow you back memory.
I've been running a 2-2 split of MetalGreymon X, the DP and extra check and the negate DP/De-digivole one. Also since we are deleting digimon we could run the bt7 MetalGreymon, it plays a tamer when played or gains 2 memory also it's inheritable is pretty good gaining a memory when a digimon is deleted
All also viable options. Your only issue again with the any of these Metalgreymons is they can't digivolve off the white Greymon. But otherwise, they have great utility in their own way.
This build remind me of the idea had thinking running 17 Wargreymon and EX 4 Blitzgreymon to De-digivolve is strong as well, both sharing the Inheritedable to burn security when digivolving into any omni
2 reasons why I passed on Blitzgreymon. The first being that it's digivolution cost is 4 memory. Second, the effect de-digivolves 1 on 3 of your opponent's Digimon. Which means you could be putting a Digimon back to a specific level that enables them to blast digivolve again.
I haven't yet! I might be taking a look at that next. The only reason why hadn't yet is because there's too much interaction with blast digivolution. Imagine running into a Paladin Mode ACE with a bunch of sources XD
I tried a lot this version of the deck and i must say it feels awesome even thou i feel like there are some adjustment that can be made (even if i sometimes don't know exactly how to improve the deck). Agumon and Tai BT14 into Greymon BT17 it's such a power play beign to easily delete a 12K dp with a level 4 for FREE it's amazing, it gets rid of a lot of Ace Target without commiting too much, i only find the When Digievolving of WarGreymon BT17 a little weak, it gets you off another body possibly but the fact that it's weaker than the Greymon it's strange, i will try tho a control style build with WarGreymon BT12 and Tai BT12, maybe it could function well now that the meta is slower
I wanted to use BT12 Tai Kamiya for awhile because the blocker is nice. BUT I think in the end you just wanna go all gas on it. There's ways to play more control as I mentioned with the Skullgreymon.
If you're promoting out the BT17 Greymon from the breeding area, it's all turns effect immediately kicks in and makes it [Koromon] or [Agumon] or [Greymon]. Meaning if you wanted to digivolve Greymon into another Agumon, you can because Agumon's explicit special digivolution conditions allow them to digivolve from Koromon. Likewise, you can Agumon X on top of Greymon because they are treated as Agumon (unless your level 3 source is Agumon X). However, you cannot go Greymon on top of Greymon because Greymon's explicitly digivolve from a level 3 Digimon with Agumon in their name.
Feel free to contribute to changes to the deck! This was a list I had been playing around with for fun because I know there are a lot of Greymon fans and they are running into the issue of either speed or blast digivolution that deletes the stack.

Blast digivolution craps on red ha ha. Not to mention, deletion is no longer the best removal :/

Great profile and explanation Panda 🐼.
I hope the explanation this time around was smoother. Wanted to provide more insight from the get go before going into the profile.
@@DIGI-PANDA that’s always a good idea. It is greatly appreciated.
Agumon from recycling, bt 17's agumon only has the ultimate to pick up things from the trash, a good piece to recover
It's all about strategy. Sometimes I'll just evo into Agumon in the back and pass if I have no other good plays.
Greymon to celebrate the pilot and war game
Greymon has its quirks. It's not insane by any means like it once was but learning to adapt is important in any card game.
