The government tries to get you to kill off all your cool season to establish warm season and I've been sitting in the grass into my existing cool season pastures for the last six or seven years and been pretty successful. Even have some Eastern gamagrass in the middle of cool season doing good. Red clover out there with those natives really compliment each other. I really think I'm going to use some switchgrass this year all about 6 acres and get it started there and see how I like it

What is the nutrition value of your switch grass?

Where are you located? I wonder if switchgrass grows faster in the hot humid south verses up north?

I understand what you are talking about that's how grazing should be, to me personally we aren't able to have that much of grass at once. Which sucks!! But you should check out @gerg Judy he does and shows just about the same stuff as you were and talks about almost the same stuff as well. But inerways good video of that, and nice looking animals.

Yeah, Greg Judy is wicked smart. I disagree with his insistence on letting grass mature and grazing seed heads. I have seen a. Few of his followers bite the dust thinking they can do the same. His seed heads are more nutritious as he has been doing it longer and has warm season prairie grasses.
I always teach people with grazing you have to think of the Offspring song: You gotta keep it vegetative!
