Awesome video as always
Thanks for checking it out Jenna!! 🥳🥳
I’ve got a biscuit tin full of old pennies and half pennies at my sister’s place, I’m sure there’s a few 1930 pennies and a couple of 1923 halves in there , might even be a holey dollar or 2🤣🤣🤣. I wish…. Thanks for sharing, J.
Hahaha thanks for watching Jamie!! You might have to get hold of that tin one day! 🥳🤣
Great video Matt... low mintage and errors are awesome ... I love error coins I have a huge collection of them
Thanks for watching William! Errors are a fascinating area of collecting with such a variety of areas to focus on! 👍👍
Matt as usual you are a wealth of information for us TY my friend.
Thanks for watching Alan! ☺️
XF40 is about the start of collectable for serious collectors.
1923 is also the key date in Canadian cents.
Hi,I believe I am in possession of a one and only Australian penny. This penny is actually cracked through from one side to the other, and I have not seen or heard of any like it in 50 years of collecting. I was offered $2000 for it thirty years ago but decided to keep it. I wonder what the value is on todays market.
I have a 1923 half penny in fine condition in my collection. I purchased it over 40 years ago.
Nice one wisey!!
🍻
Thanks for watching Jim!! 👍👍
You pennies are cooler than ours....Heck, even your half pennies are cooler than our (cent) coins. There, I said it....I am not happy about it....but it needs to be said.....
Maybe it's time to expand your collection into Australian Predecimal copper??? 🥳🥳
That is s very specific category but maybe one day that will be warranted.@@ThompsonsCoins
1923 was the year my father was born.
My mother reckons she had a 1923 half penny in her collection. I got the collection and can’t find it. Probably taken by my sister as she took the half Sovereign that was suppose to be mine.
God I can whinge.
I’d like a 1930 and a 1937 Penny.
Thanks for watching!! Sorry to hear about the missing halfpenny that's terrible! You'll struggle to find an Australian 1937 penny as there were none produced for circulation that year!
@@ThompsonsCoins there were no 1937 pennies produced for public release but they exist. I’m not sure but most are either owned by the Mint or Museums and one or two are owned privately. I may be wrong about that. I believe there are 12 in existence and the last sold for $270,000 I think it was. Again I’m going off memory and could be wrong.
