Also the festival of Saint Juan in June on the beach is a bit special too. prefer it to Lloret which is fine but a bit too lively.

We’ve seen the San Juan from Pineda de Mar but never from Tossa. But I can imagine it’s amazing with fireworks in front of the castle. And yes, Tossa de Mar strikes a good balance between facilities and a slightly quieter vibe.

@@robonholidayblog We enjoying the boat trip to Lloret and Blanes so yep we had a nice afternoon there. Tossa seemed untainted by the 21st Century which we liked too.

Oh no, for God's sake please stay in Benidorm or Magalluf, but don't come to Tossa 🙏 Skipping cities in Spain "thanks" to British tourism has been painful in the past but at least Spaniards we had our places to go to stay in peace. Now it seems like no village is small or hidden enough to avoid being flooded with drunk noisy mobs. Damn TH-cam.

Sorry you feel like that and I fully appreciate that you don’t want to share your country with noisy yobs - I don’t like people who behave like that either. We love Spain and have traveled far and wide in your beautiful country. We always respect the places we visit and encourage others to do the same. Benidorm and Magaluf certainly aren’t our scene.
