That elimination attempt on green was devastating to watch. Maybe a good rule of thumb: if you have to go across the map to eliminate someone and you're not certain if you're going to make it, you probably won't.

I’m not a GM, but I have been watching Pete and Kylted for over a year and playing Risk for the same time. Everyone has different playstyles, so this is not a criticism, but just a strategy comment.
In progressive, especially on a map like this, bonuses are not important for winning. Maintaining multiple positions is more important. If you can do both, that’s the best of course. Developing a sight for kill lines takes some getting used to, but in my opinion that is better than going for bonuses in progressive. Also this map is not good for bonuses at all.
Next, sometimes you don’t need to stack all 4 borders on a 4-point hold bonus. There are territories that help in soft-guarding a bonus. Like the top circle in the Moonstone Forest bonus surrounds all 3 other territories, so if you have a big stack in one location rather than 4 small stacks, players would not want to open that stack up and leave you bonus intact

I’m a fan of your risk vids.. but you saying the only reason you were going to lose is RNG when you thought magenta was going to eliminate you because you couldn’t trade in on 4 was absurd. There were many mistakes that could have lead to your downfall. You were lucky to live as long as you did. I do applaud you uploading the defeat

I think that going for the Red Elimination was what killed the game for you since you didn't allow yourself to build up defenses.
