I used to listen to this song performed by Tomoya Tkaishi who is a Japanese Bluegrass singer songwriter. I also performed this song by guiter. Now I moved such the rhythmical song that reminds me of my unuversity age.
I can see that der' banjer is taking over the place hanging in the mandolins spot dang that thing will wanna hang in the git'ar spot next just like a banjer give it a spot on the wall and perrty soon it wants all of them be well mr banjer ben
I just mastered the basic version from the banjo ben website and now I've come here and discovered there an advanced version! :O I will need to try that, anyway heres me playing the basic: soundcloud.com/grant-dryburgh/billy-in-the-lowground-full Ive only just started to play this type of music but Ben is a great teacher! Also learned how to play the mandolin chords as backing
Bob, I understand, my friend. The truth is some of these fiddle tunes have very specific melodies, so what I call basic is the most basic way to get all the notes in. It doesn't, however, mean that it's easy. If you played "flight of the Bumblebee" as basic as it is written, it would still be extremely difficult. I hope that makes sense! I do have many tunes on my site that have a beginner skill level.
Thanx and Greets from good old Germany ;-D,
I just Explore How Great Bluegrass music is and your lessons help alot !
Those triplets are tripletrific! Sounds great.

I didn't mean that as a knock on you. I was just making fun of myself for playing for a long time and still struggling.
