How does their marketability compare to fields like statistics, maths, and computer science PhDs? Do you think this relative marketability has decreased over the past years?
Yes, absolutely. PhD's in physics are seen as more favourable to master's still. Hard to say with marketability, I'd say it has decreased a bit, but it is still an advantage.
