as someone who hasn't consistently kept up with ive in a while, i'm convinced that anyone who is still calling wonyoung a "pick me" or attention seeker is just flat out irrational, i was one of the people who felt that a lot of wonyoung's behavior and mannerisms in ive's early days came off as forced, especially when compared to how she was in iz*one, where i felt that she came off as more genuine, granted i never felt that her presenting herself a certain way ever warranted hate, teenagers force images and experiment with how they present themselves all the time, i found it cringe sometimes but ultimately harmless, and simply focused on members that i vibed with more, but seeing wonyoung in these clips i found her a lot more natural and genuine, she simply seems like an older version of her younger self, which is what i think a lot of people wanted from her rather than the more cutesy image she seemed to have when ive first debuted
Exactly! People don't understand that she spent her entire childhood as a trainee and her teenage years by being an idol. She's worked so much and even now, she's one of the most hardworking idols! Just bcs she has all that beauty, talent and all, people just find a way to hate on her saying that she's "cringe". She's such a sweet soul and i hope she keeps on remaining the happy wonyoung without worrying about the hate.
