Hey Shay, what chart software are you using? I'm using thinkorswim and it doesn't color the volume bars like yours are. Obviously, this would be super helpful in reading the volume and help indicate the direction of the momentum over the colorless/single color bars I currently see.
By the time you see the volume indicator displaying a big green candle, you might be late in the move unless it's a breakout or continuation. If you want to participate in the move early, use footprint chart where the aggressors will be shown or use delta.

Agreed, but have you tried volume indicators that attempt to predict the closing volume? TradingView's "Volume Spread Analysis [TANHEF]" indicator does a decent job as volume increases fairly linearly and the majority of volume occurs near the open as I suspect strategies often reference price closes.

well… if you’re on a 10min timeframe and let’s say 8mins (or 7,6,5) to go and volume has already surpassed Avg vol… that’s something to pay attention

Yes, watch for the speed of the volume always. You want it to be moving fast aligned up with the candles.
