Dude I love the detail in the background scenes. Squads of clones moving to different positions especially that one scene at 0:10 where the clone squad leader told the pilots to lift off before telling his squad to move out
Same!!! Revenge of the Sith has a ton of those small details. Picking apart the Battle of Coruscant is another good scene. There is so much going on and it's really difficult to see everything at the normal pace of the movie.
0:15 Having a Navy SEAL portray this clone made this small scene so captivating. This made it seem as though the clones were really superior because I never liked the way they hip fired
@@Batou3 a lot of the combat scenes were either made by US army and special forces consultants or they gave the advice and guidance to make them look realistic. This is true for both Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the SIth
This was one battle I truly wish we got more of just like Mygeeto and Kashyyyk. Very little screen time and for those who don't understand why there's clones running right in front of the camera. George wanted to give the impression that there's squad or platoon elements running in from LZs or staging areas like where Cody and a squad or two of men are standing when Obi Wan rides in before Order 66.

very nice eyes man!! I think, if I well remember, in some videos (don't remember if The Clone Wars series) I saw the soldiers on these lizards as well... 😅
Always loved that jumping clone, so badass. But there’s a little error one the frame. On the first scene, he had a second thermal detonator on his back, that disappeared on the second part of the scene…
0:22 underrated shot. You can even see the moment a clone sniper takes out that B1 with additional b1s rushing into the area as the camera pans. Just amazing the amount of detail that was put into a movie made in 2005.
The animation work done in this movie is phenomenal! I just love how the clone warriors move. Their run rolls like athletes they are. If you want to portray the clones in non -cqi you need real athletes and special operators to portray their calculated movement in a similiar way!
Considering Boil along Waxer was sent on special recon missions by Cody, like on Ryloth or to save Kenobi on Geonosis, and that Waxer was leading a unit on Umbara, Boil would have been either an ARC or an officer, so he would have another armor. Pure speculation though.
Utapau was a slog, but the Republic had the overwhelming advantage. Like most of the battles scene in ROTS it represents one of the main varieties of battles in the war. The Republic fought hordes of droids, the droids had no real strategy while the Republic did, giving them the advantage in the slog. The slog would then end with a Republic victory, albeit the clones would still take casualties because the CIS, despite having a terrible 'strategy', were still the stronger side. This bloated how long the war took and made it look like the CIS were fighting ferociously when in fact they were acting more like easy mode AI in a video game and simply fighting against the attacking forces by throwing stuff at them.
This was a decent bar to set for future action in starwars which is why i liked Rots. If only it could have gotten better from here instead of getting objectively worse.
That’s so cool that at 0:15 they had an ex special forces guy for the motion capture for that clone who ran to the crab droid

That is one of the things I love about this movie, there is a clear formation to the squads, platoons and companies of clones engaging the droids.
fun fact at 0:08 those sounds where resampled for battlefront 2005 as the clone death sounds
Yo shit dude I never realized this sound came from this scene !
The warfare is quite freaky, with humans fighting droids resembling spiders, being tall and quick
Sucks we had no Utapau, Mygetto, and other maps as well as no crab, octo, spider or plethora of other droid types in battlefront II.
Which Battlefront 2? The original or new?

Cause of Disney yes.
They did at least give Kashyykk. Maybe they didn’t wanna drag in the 501st legion. Because groups from that legion fought in both of those places
