had these for sunday league only for one season cos of my growth spurt but they are my favourite boots and honestly gave me killer shots up front easily the best boots i’ve worn too this day

Buying up every pair of magistas on Ebay I can find since they discontinued them. Literally make you a better player and I can't wear anything else! Got 10 pairs they should see me through to being a 50 year old man :p

I prefer the Obras, mainly because I prefer the fit and upper over that of the Ace. They're both great shoes, just very different.

I just want to know your honest opinion of the durability for the Nike Magista Obra 2. As they are on the pricey side I would like to know how durable they are. I train twice a week and 1 game on the weekend for around 7 months.

I never had any issues with them. You can't predict how long any shoe will last though.
Sole plate is slightly boring. Josh, do you think Nike will start doing the oil slick sole plates now? They were all on the prototypes and they added them on the EA special editions. I really want some with that sole plate!

Nope. Sizing is the same across the entire Magista line. I talk about the fit and sizing in the video.
Hey! First of all nice video. I just have a question: if I'm going to buy the Nike Superfly 5 and I play on grass field but sometimes I could play on artificial grass(I train and play home matches on grass but I could play away matches on artifical grass).. If I take the FG version, apart from the fact that it may won't be very good on grass, how will it goes for the durability? Then would it be a better idea to pick the SG + replacebale FG studs (for when I play on artificial grass) so the durability could be longer?
You definitely do not want a SG shoe. All of the main Adidas lines are FG/AG, so that's an option if you're only looking to buy one pair of shoes. Otherwise, you would want 1 pair of FG boots and an AG pair.

They'll stretch a little bit.

What is the difference between the AG-PRO version and the FG version? I know that the AG-PRO version has a sort of lining across the toe box, but is the soleplate or anything else differnt?
I don't have any experience with them, so I can't really comment. I will likely be bringing in a pair soon though.

I have a pair of Tiempo legend 6's and I use them on synthetic grass at least once a week. Will this break the boot and should I use something different for that turf? (The legends are the hard ground variation)
The FG version is not made for use on artificial grass.

I prefer the standard one, but they're both solid options.

I wouldn't say that any single one is the best. They're all very good, just different. It comes down to what type of fit and feel that you're looking for. Everyone likes something different, that's why they make different lines.

I never had any issues with them. You can't predict that kind of thing.
I am planning of ordering these with my own desing (Nike ID) but since you can't return Nike ID shoes I'm worried about the durability. is the durability affected at all with Nike ID?
No.
what's longer the laces that come with the obras or a pair of your laces?
Any of the regular length ones will be pretty much the exact same length as the stock laces in the shoes. If you want something shorter, JR length is also available.
I wear a size 9.5 us in the obra 2 and they fit well, is it safe to assume I wear the same size in the opus 2?
Yes. Sizing is consistent through the Magista line.

The Ace is definitely a wider fitting shoe.

If you have narrow feet, the superfly will probably fit you better.

same type of question. Been running the 1st gen twice already nd absolutely love it. before that I had the hypervenom phantom 1 (orange, black) with the special nike skin. Since I love both, would you recommend the Obra 2's (since they sort of combine both) or would you say they are nothing like the 2 pair of shoes I mentioned?

I actually bought some AG superfly IV's last year for 150. (Of course I bought them because of their low price just like you are) and the sole plate actually cracked and broke beyond use after using it on FG. Now this is included with the fact that my highschool practice fields are awfully uneven and hard. But I was able to send in my broken cleats and get a 200 dollar gift card so that was kind of a plus. Just be careful if youre gonna use AG on FG haha

honestly bro it doesn't even matter, they only add a piece of leather on top so it feels the same as a normal one but with a more padded feel

What's your personal favourite stud pattern right now?
I'm personally not very picky when it comes to stud patterns, so I can't say that I have an absolute favorite. If I had to pick, some of my personal favorite FG stud patterns would be the evoPOWERs, the Mizuno Basara stud pattern and probably the Tiempos.

I purchased these in 9.5 although I am a size 9 in regular shoes. Do these stretch over time? The feel a bit snug at the lace/arch region.
They don't stretch much.

I have watched a lot of your videos to figure out the best shoes for my feet, and I've bought a lot of shoes that I've had to return because of the same issue of snugness by the arch region. I am stuck with my cleats from high school because everything is so narrow in that region. Any suggestions would be quite helpful.

my currant adidas boots are a 10 and i have mostly outgrown them so i have ordered these boots in a 10 and a half i have fairly wide feed do you think they will fit?
They run half a size small. I wear a size 9US in most Adidas boots and a size 9.5US in these.
