It's interesting when you commented on the stories that you like, however don't love to watch. In the 1990's I purchased the vast majority of the VHS 📼 releases, well my first VHS purchase was 'The Seeds of Death' in 1985 however it was not until the 90's that the releases started to become more frequent. After the final VHS release in 2003 and the start of the DVD releases I thought about things and decided that I would only purchase the stores/eras that I found I enjoy the most. Some of the VHS releases that I purchased in the 1990's only got watched once or twice. With that in mind I only have the stores now on DVD 📀 Blu-ray that I actually like to watch. This means I have nearly every Hartnell story and all Patrick Troughton and Jon pertwee releases. But just selected 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th Doctor ones.
TJ I'm so glad you agree with me about the return of the Mondasian Cybermen, I hope they aren't side lined by the new ones or receive a bad story. I'm excited their returning I just hope they do them justice. Great Video and collection.Look forward to more. Hope your Birthday as been good.
You should make this a yearly annual thing, and at the start of every year go over the collection like this again and discuss expansions on the collection, changes of opinion on certain stories; whether you still love/like/dislike it etc.
amazing collection! I've been watching dr who every saturday night for that past year or two on pbs and bbc... they've been showing all the Tom Baker episodes in order! and it's nice cause the new ones are on as well. I'm finding the new season lackluster at best...
using custom dvd covers to fill in the gaps in the 60s era is a very clever idea. maybe you could expand the collection by getting custom dvd covers for the new dr who storys too...

Yay I’m going to be the first and only to reply. I prefer the 70’s the show was just in its prime during that era. The budget to me seemed to be larger than 60s or 80s, the writing was brilliant. By now the show had discovered itself and what works; with the pertwee unit stories being the most consistently good period imo. And Tom Baker is just good high concept sci fi. Well made, a joy to watch for sure. Edit: it seems my *only to reply* remark has now been disregarded (disproved? Nonexistified? I don’t know the word, English is difficult gosh darnit). The 60’s was when I liked the show the most. Some of the greatest episodes came out back-to-back. The time when the Daleks seemed like an actual threat, the Cybermen seemed more scary, the introduction of UNIT and so much more. Bill was a great Doctor and really fit the grandfatherly role he was tasked with, something he had never done before. The Daleks was a great episode with the Dalek Invasion of Earth, The War Machines and the Tenth Planet being very good. Patrick had some of the best stories such as The Moonbase, The Tomb of the Cybermen and The Invasion. I do know I listed only Cybermen episodes but they are really good.
The 60s era is the best era. it has classics like the keys of marinus, the space museum, the chase, the web of fear, fury from the deep, and the mind robber. My favorite episode though is in the 70s era: the ambassadors of death.
I guess telesnaps were used in the DVD's of missing episodes. The stories are available here in the U.S. as soundtracks, although some have been animated and released on DVD. Here we have a patchwork of stories.

How do I figure out what order I have to listen to the audio adventures in the chronological order with the TV show and movie for the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th doctors. I really want to listen to these stories because of the cancellation of the show. I really want to know how these stories end.

I think that An Unearthly Child should be seperated into two dvd releases. The first episode should be on another dvd and episodes 2,3 and 4 should be released under the serial title 100,000BC on another dvd.

I've only got 15 DVDs and the Gunfighters was hard to watch for me because I just got tired of the song that played every 2 seconds. I could see what they were going for with it but it just got irritating.
I still think that planet 55 studios is the best animator. They did the tenth planet and the moonbase. To me the animation looks like pure movement and not like power of the daleks animation.
