Great video. I noticed this during actor study group. One actor in particular always fidgeting, swinging feet, head swaying. And barely ever looking at her partner. Compared to Michael Douglas on Wall Street, his big speech on greed, he was very steady. Most great/good actors are very still and only move with intent. Just swaying without any reason weakens power/emotional focus. Thanks for the tips and videos. ^^
beginner here. I realize this is for screen acting. I want to practice / act more so I’m looking at community theatre. Do these principles apply ? Will acting in theatre ( non professional ) be useful practice or just a place to build bad habits ? 🤷♀️
Acting for theatre is the best place to get a solid foundation for acting. In good theatres, you will be able to go deep into character development. That's just one plus. Al pacino began as a theatre actor. He still performs on stage as much as possible.
