12-year-old Dre Parker (Jaden Smith) could've been the most popular kid in Detroit, but his mother's (Taraji P. Henson) latest career move has landed him in China. @@nars- there was some controversy because it was set in China, so it should have been called the Kung Fu Kid (because kung fu is a chinese fighting style while karate is Japanese) but honestly it was pretty stupid and people should have just appreciated the movie.

My favorite moment was when Dre was crawling he’s way up, he was crying he was in so much pain. His mom and Mr. Han were worried for him the crowd was cheering for him and he slowly and carefully stood up with the music in the background did it for me. That was some good acting right there Jaden Smith was amazing.💕✨

This wasn't the Crane Kick lol. This is the kung fu kid not the karate kid.
Well the crane kick originated from Kung fu. Kung fu copies and uses animals techniques. This was more of the Snake kick or Cobra kick.
This shows you how to not give up no matter what is thrown in your way. When you belive and you know The Lord is with you, nothing can be against you. He learned this move while spending time with his teacher. While with his teacher he learned something that changed his life forever. Fight a good fight and don't give up. 💪 🙏

They had an alternate ending where Jackie beats up the other teacher in a fight. You can see still sort of see it at the end and see the teacher way in the back struggling to get up. But this ending of the students all bowing to a true master is much more impactful
