I’m impressed that it’s 6’ tall (I hate it when a figure is claimed to be “life size” but is only about 5'6") and that the joint articulations (radius and ulna, and the phalanges) mimic that of the actual human skeletal system. Drape that in a tattered cloak, stand it in your front yard, and you’ve got an AWESOME leader to your skeleton army! Happy Haunting this year!

I wish I would’ve seen your comment before I struggled with the sky last night LOL! But we finally figured that out… We had our C batteries on and he wouldn’t work and when we unplugged the cord he suddenly worked and that’s when we figured out that the try me batteries were dead and it wasn’t using the C batteries because it was still plugged in
I have him and ill add creepy cloth stalks on the side of him and my metal windmill in back. The little twins will be in front as if dad is taking his twins trick or treating. Add lanterns a hay bail and uncarved pumpkins along with cool flaming spot light. For how cheap the 2 props are and a little imagination i think its fantastic! Amazing to get something inexpensive right now that is so cool just makes me happy. Have fun everyone!
You remove the black box entirely and the try me button. He runs off the batteries in his head, the black box is to operate the try me button it says right on it.
I actually like the lifesize rotten patch skeleton over the inferno 12 footer. The 12 ft pumpkin guy looked a little odd to me. I might be biased though seeing that the rotten patch face looks like E.T. 🤣🎃

Its true, most stores even Big Lots and Dollar Tree are selling out of Halloween items as soon as they hit the shelves. I managed to get a few items I wanted but not all of my wish list. I'm starting to put my outdoor decorations out today, yes its early, but I find as soon as I put mine out the neighbors follow suit :) I see a lot of "Happy Haunting" items when I'm out, pillows, baskets, signs and they always make me think of you. Cant wait to see your display this year!

The employees have access to everything before the customers, so they take everything before the displays are up. This happened to me at my local home-depot twice.
Could always use the string on his head to have him stand. Maybe nail him into a tree or a post or even just tie it down? Just a few ideas for you to make him stand anyways.
I’m glad you made this, I paid $100 to get one on eBay, I have a massive display and wanted to have him… he’s by far worth the original price of 60 and I have no regret buying it for 100

I have all the rotten patch pumpkins. The man eating plant and the rotten patch scarecrow. Couldn't find inferno either but I did get the 12' skelly. Home depot did great this year with their decor items. Can't wait to get mine out.
You likely could rig together a stand out of some pvc pipe and a metal plate for the bottom to give it some weight. I think it were sprayed black or a dark brown it likely wouldn't stick out too much, especially not at night. But as far as this skeleton goes, I think he's fairly impressive for the price. The painting/rot texture and detail on the skeleton portion itself is better than what I usually see on props. But that battery compartment being constructed that way is pretty atrocious.

I already have the pumpkin patch prowler from several hears ago and also have the sitting scarecrow was looking for more animatronics. it is hard to find any Halloween stuff this year I went doll tree hardly any thing I tried Walmart not much merchandise ether its very disponing

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this prop! Get a piece of rebar at home depot and hammer it into the ground. Just zip tie him to it. Works fine. I use rebar for my posable skeletons, you don't see the rebar in the dark. Zip tie the spine to the rebar, not a leg, or they will topple over. You got a GREAT prop. Feel good about it. I can't find one anywhere to buy up here in Tennessee!
I think you're being a little hard on this prop. I think he is great for the price. If I hadn't found my giant Inferno Pumpkin, I definitely would have bought him. It's easy to make him stand. All you need is a piece of PVC pipe in the back that you zip tie to his spine, and some rebar. Pound the rebar into the ground, then slip the PVC pipe over it, and he's now a standing prop.
I got the same things, the Twins & this Rotten Patch skelly on the day they came out along with the regular 12 ft. skelly. The skelly is Mort, the Rotten Patch skelly is Gourdy, & the twins are Ash & Rosemary. I love them all & can't wait to set them all up outside on the big day!
If your having the Rotten Patch kids infront of him. Maybe make a PVC pipe stand with poles behind each leg and paint the pvc black. Oviously its visible in daylight but the short pumpkin kids may help cover his legs. Tough i dont know if that will make him lean forward.
Great deal for $60- I’ve seen basic 5’ skeletons for $50! I expected a higher price tag. I’d blot a bit of off-white paint to those teeth, just to highlight them, not fill in completely. I’m definitely puzzled by the black box, considering it doesn’t appear to be doing anything at all. It may have been the “Try me” battery pack that could be removed? I also thought based on the plug it might have produced sound… unsure. I’d try removing it as a test to see if anything changes. If it isn’t necessary, store it, or open it up and use the batteries inside for something else?

He sits up a lot better than any of my pose n stay skeletons. You can definitely use rebar or pvc pipe painted black to stand him up. The led eyes aren't my thing personally. But I bet kids will get a kick out him with those freaky eyes. The articulating fingers & toes are very impressive. He is unique with an interesting look. A great buy for $60.

Yikes!! That skeleton pumpkin would creep me out! Those eyes! I think he could easily be hooked up to a wooden steak so he stands. I think he's great! One of my favorite looks is just a yard full of pumpkin heads on steaks in a silent pumpkin patch, I'm scaring myself right now lol.. there's just something so scary about that! I say thumbs up! 👻
We have a bunch of the 12ft one here where I live unfortunately it’s a little out of my budget right now but I hope next year they have it . I also opted for this one a little more affordable .
After one night of operation the eyes do not light up. I thought it was operating off an adapter I connected. I’m not sure if I killed the mechanism or I was running off the internal batteries and they have died. Does anyone know if an adapter could be used and if so what voltage?
on the skeletons in my haunt, i use rebar to make them stand up. they stay pretty good during all the high winds we get down here. might be something you look into. he's an AWESOME prop and for $70.00? not bad at all!! God bless

I overheard an associate talking about low stock levels due to a fire at a supplier. I'm not sure if that was in reference to the Halloween merchandise, but it wouldn't surprise me.
what I do to stabilize my poseable skeleton it get a re bar pole and stake some of it in the ground and zip tie his spine to the top end of the re bar.
I don't understand the purpose of the black plug-in box. If it works the eyes lighting up, them why not just have it built inside the head with the batteries?

Ok not sure if anyone has said this but I knew my 6ft pumpkin guys had signs saying remove after inserting batteries sooo today I removed that ugly black box put in 3 c batt(quite the endeavor with 4 screws!!!!) And bam, they work great. So unattached that nasty black box and enjoy ur pumpkin fella🧡
I have looked for this one at the two Home Depot close to me unfortunately they have never been in stock and they said due to supply and demand they probably want be this year . I’ve seen about 20 for sale on eBay for 300.00 when home depot has them for 59.00 I think this is sad !
I thought that it would be like $120 but when you said it was $60 I was surprised, think think it might be worth it and I also think you could do something cool with it.
It’s cool but I wish they would of done a different type of teeth and painted them like the bone skeleton. I have a pumpkin 🎃 carving party and I will buy one I do like it for the price. Battery operated is a pain though Thank you for showing us this

I think my favorite aspect of this dude is probably the jointed fingers oddly enough. It makes it so much more fun for posing and other stuff. Honestly why don't they make a normal skeleton with this feature? I would gladly pay a little extra to have it.
So that Spirit animatronic is surviving nthe weather? Did you do some weather proofing yourself? On that note, might want to seal the string hole to prevent water accumulation. I think this is an excellent buy for $60
How much did you pay for pumpkin patch twins ? I went to my local Home Depot and they can order and ship To store, I got a 12ft skeleton ordered and it wasn’t on the site, was on a special site they went to online.

If u get a metal pole he can stand and if don’t wanna see a pole just wrap the pole in spider web

I thought that it would be like $120 but when you said it was $60 I was surprised, think think it might be worth it and I also think you could do something cool with it.
It’s cool but I wish they would of done a different type of teeth and painted them like the bone skeleton. I have a pumpkin 🎃 carving party and I will buy one
I do like it for the price. Battery operated is a pain though

yeah yeah yeah... I thought that was referring to the try me cord. This is what I get for doing these things on the fly.

I think my favorite aspect of this dude is probably the jointed fingers oddly enough. It makes it so much more fun for posing and other stuff. Honestly why don't they make a normal skeleton with this feature? I would gladly pay a little extra to have it.
They do. I saw one at Home Depot. Not in a box though. Hanging up on a rack of skeletons.

Nope it was a regular skeleton with the digital eyes., no box, folded and on a section loaded with other smaller skeletons.

Oh no! We’re you able to fix it? I’ve used zip ties when my standard skeletons break. Surprising how brittle they can get.
Have you tried to put a dc adapter where the try me black boz batteries go?
Apparently that black box can be removed entirely and is just for the demo function. What a waste!

How much did you pay for pumpkin patch twins ? I went to my local Home Depot and they can order and ship To store, I got a 12ft skeleton ordered and it wasn’t on the site, was on a special site they went to online.
The twins were $80. When did they say your 12' would come? I might have to try that - as much as I hate actually having to talk to someone...
@@HappyHaunting they estimated sept 21-oct 13th delivery to store. They had 101 of the inferno left and 20 something of the skeleton. I ordered both. Right I wish I could have ordered myself but it’s on some corporate site. Good luck 👍
