Nice and simple tutorial - it reminds me of when I first learnt about families on your channel in your door family series!

Great presentation that answers a lot of questions. I've heard from Revit educators that it's significant which geometry is chosen as the first and second placement for dimensions. Does this also fall into the same basket as plane orientation that you mention at 41:00 and could be ignored? As a side note, could you PLEASE reduce the video inset size of you by at least half? It's way too imposing and detracts from what's being presented on screen.

I’m not sure what you mean by “first and second placement for dimensions”? Can you clarify? Also, sorry that the video is distracting. Duly noted.

@@TheRevitKid I guess I should say first and second click locations. I vaguely remember being taught that you always dimension FROM a "Strong Reference" TO a "Weak Reference" but following a quick google search, I could find any other mention of it. Maybe it was just a dream.
Also, BA gave a pretty decent explanation of ref plane orientation that cleared that aspect up for me recently th-cam.com/video/zfoSp8i1Jv0/w-d-xo.html.
