That seperator, is called a grader. Thos concrete thing are not counter balance weights. They are concrete road barriers. Beard was a proper fool of a guy. Well done dealing with him. Great video👍

If the angry freak keeps his job after his managers see this I would be surprised and disappointed. That behaviour is unacceptable in every work scenario, especially when he goes straight into swearing, insults and intimidation (or trying to, as it's difficult to take anyone with a beard like that seriously).

The separatllor is a nice bit of expensive kit.
Also moveable by a hand held control the operator uses whilst walking along side it.
Its separating the used /recycled product in this case asphalt to make it easier to process.
Its being loaded by what is known as a shovel.
On the other side
The tippers or lorry's in BP language are queuing up to be loaded under the hopper (the drive under shute)
And additional shovels seem to be working with the separated product looding it into the plant.
The concrete you spotted are not weights but concrete barriers used on road works.
You'll spot them on most motorways.

From my experience quite a lot of people in plant can be rude and confrontational.
They seem to think you should know exactly what they want and are on about and how to react from a few beeps of the horn.
As a driver being loaded by them and not always aware of this as site procedure can vary from company to company.
This can get heated at times.
There are nice helpful ones too.
But few and far between.
Marching up to someone like this, to within inches of their face, is - under UK law - an assault. The CPS say: _"An assault is any act by which a person intentionally or recklessly causes another to suffer or apprehend immediate unlawful violence"_ In situations like that you'd be well within your rights to knock him to the ground (or any other reasonable force) to protect yourself, and he'd still be the one leaving in handcuffs.
He doubled down on the assault too with plenty of fighting words.
* "What you gonna do about it?"
* "Do something!"
* "We're going to have a problem!"
* "Last time I'm tellin ya!"
The most he'd of been able to do is hit him a jab, step back and tell him to get back. Then it depends in this situation if the guard retaliates again and goes for a grappling or fisticuff match (if that happens its time for a citizen Arrest). If you ever do find yourself in a situation like that, you should also report it to the police after or your defence excuse isn't going to hold to well, even if all you did was hit him a small jab and he left, still report it and get it documented.

I would be emailing a copy of that video to the head honchos if that company to show them how terrible their employees act and represent their company

Stepping off site to try and intimidate a passing member of the public classes as assault even though no contact occurred, and if the member of the public escalated the situation it would still be the fault of the company's security numpty and the company would be open to prosecution.

Farbgel and EveAid which are self defence sprays which are legal in the uk would of been very useful to use in this situation and perfectly reasonable and legal, as he came towards you in a manner that no doubt made you feel harrassed, alarmed and distressed, invading your personal space.

@@bpvisits I've worked that out, same as most of the cameramen, they don't seek violence. It's a skill to hold back which is commended.
The barriers are likely trigered by a sensing loop in the raod the same as traffic lights are controlled. Unfortunately no amount of wire loops in the road would control the numpty in the hi vis who thinks he has durusdiction over a member of the public in a public place! Up until Mr Numpty arrived the company was looking to be impressive. @13:00 that is a batching plant, mixer the asphelt and loads onto the wagons. 14:00 is a grading plant, sorts the large, small and dust into seperate piles.
