The best part of this has to be that Edgeworth is perpetually confused as to what is actually happening. Basically all he really does in the trial is get angry at witnesses, be surprised at testimonies, and help Phoenix at the end
Edgeworth, Wright and the judge being confused/annoyed, Edgeworth forgetting what to say when he objects, GUMSHOE SAVING THE DAY, and Edgeworth helping Wright. This entire case was an absolute meme and I loved every second of it
[SPOILER] The biggest fucking grin came on my face when Gumshoe intervened between Phoenix and Vasquez. Holy fuck I love that scene, Gumshoe is such a great character.
But it does require a great deal of wit, knowledge, memory and tenacity. Met a lawyer while out drinking, he did admit to stress but felt good about his work.

Edgeworth was later confirmed to be a closet "Steel Samurai" fan. This case must've made him VERY uncomfortable, since he was basically being forced to put the actor portraying the main character of his favorite show behind bars for something he didn't do.

How it really happened: Jack Hammer was responsible for an accidental death of a costar 5 years ago. Dee Vasquez, covered up the killing and had Jack under blackmail since. Having had enough, Jack swore revenge by drugging his current costar, Will Powers, took his costume and went to Studio 2 in hopes of killing Vasquez. Unfortunately when trying to do the foul deed, Vasquez pushed the disguised Hammer and he ended up impaled through the chest by fence post, just like the accident 5 years ago. Seizing the opportunity, Vasquez convinced the director to remove the costume from the now dead Hammer, put him in his villain costume and placed him in Studio 1 with the Samurai Spear in the impalement in hopes of framing Powers for the crime.

How it really happened: Jack Hammer was responsible for an accidental death of a costar 5 years ago. Dee Vasquez, covered up the killing and had Jack under blackmail since. Having had enough, Jack swore revenge by drugging his current costar, Will Powers, took his costume and went to Studio 2 in hopes of killing Vasquez. Unfortunately when trying to do the foul deed, Vasquez pushed the disguised Hammer and he ended up impaled through the chest by fence post, just like the accident 5 years ago. Seizing the opportunity, Vasquez convinced the director to remove the costume from the now dead Hammer, put him in his villain costume and placed him in Studio 1 with the Samurai Spear in the impalement in hopes of framing Powers for the crime.

I agree. Of the Ace Attorney cases, it definitely leans more towards comedy, but still has a lot of very good and unexpected twists and turns.
