- This is a full review of the Saturn Astra . The car of the review is a 2007 1,6 with 115 hp SPORT . The Astra is a good car . Top exterior design combined with a robust interior make a really good recipe for a cheap family hatchback . There is a big variety of engines but only the 1.6 with 115hp and 1.6 turbo are worth considering . The handling is surprisingly good but you won’t get any excitement out of the car . It doesn’t really matter where you live because the Astra has been sold nearly everywhere . You can find it as an Opel , as a Vauxhall , as a Chevrolet , as a Saturn and as a Holden .

One of my favourite cars I owned. I had the 2005 Opel Astra 1.8 Sport. Loved it!

Got a diesel astra h from 2006 as my first car after I got my driving license and I love it. :) it's the same as the one shown in the video but mine has another color. Quite cheap and reliable car. 😊
The Opel Astra H was unveiled at the end of 2003. Production started as early as 2004. The BMW 1 Series is manufactured by BMW since 2004.

In Canada Saturn sold the Astra, it was a very nice change of pace from the big expensive American cars while still being fully sold and supported by an American brand. It was better than all sedans made (fully) by any American automakers as it had a lot of cargo space and and was very economical while still being powerful enough for daily tasks, and it could also hold a full family of five whilst still having cargo space in the back
The Astra is a good car , but if you are a car enthusiast , you might want to look somewhere else !

In Brazil that generation of Astra that you are reviewing was call Vectra and the previous generation was sold up to 2011.
If a not mistakind the 3th generation of the vectra would be to spensive to Brazil at that time.
That's true, but the Brazilian Vectra is not the same as the Astra H, even tough it looks nearly identical. The Brazilian car used the underpinnings of the previous generation Astra (Astra G) and from the Zafira A, so the electronics, engines and other components are completely different. That's why the Brazilian Vectra has versions with no airbags, 2 or 4, depending on the version. You couldn't have the side curtain airbags that were standard on this generation of Astra, for example.
Do anyone know how to remove the hub caps on this car do I have to remove the wheel to take them off
Well, it is a small family car after all, it's not supposed to blow your socks off, but, yeah, it's not much of a formula 1 supercar. I reckon the 2.0 200HP engine can give you a bit of fun, never been in one though.
I like the way you went over the infotainment system, most of these reviews skip it or just say "It's a clusterfuck of confusing buttons" and move on.
A bit over 7 liters average consumption, not bad! Although our 1.7 diesel does use around 5.4/100km, that one's a real star when it comes to fuel economy, LOL. We don't do much driving in heavy traffic though, so I'm sure that gives it an advantage.
Also, the sport mode makes the steering wheel stiffer on some models, and if you have IDS+ it also makes the entire suspension a lot stiffer and sportier.
You probably already knew all of this, but it might be useful for the viewers!

Nice presentation! Nice car, wrong engine. Unfortunately only the turbocharged (OPC /VXR, 1.6T, 2.0T) versions of the opel /Vauxhall /Holden astra h are properly fast. Greetings from Greece.

Το έχω 10 χρόνια πολύ αξιόπιστο μηδέν βλάβες αλλά κακή αίσθηση οδηγικά ειδικά αν προτιμά κάποιος σπορ οδήγηση. Χάλια κλήση τιμονιού(απομακρύνεται ψηλά) και καθόλου feedback. Όταν το φορτώσεις πολύ σε στρίψιμο η υποστροφή του είναι αποκαρδιωτική. Κατά τα άλλα ασφαλές και στιβαρό αν δεν είσαι παλαβός.
Φίλε ίδιο έχω και ίδια ζάντα αλλά 1.4...φιλε αμαξαρα δε το αλλάζω με κανένα καινούργιο το έχω και εγώ στη πένα σε μαύρο
