    I have so much respect for this Judge! He took time out of his vacation to hear from the attorneys so that child didn’t have to spend one more minute in an unsafe environment. Thank you to all who help keep children safe, even from their own parent. Sad sad sad. 🥺🥺🥺

      After watching 3-4 of these hearings, I want to know why someone would present themselves at a hearing from bed. That looks so disrespectful to me. Get your butt off the bed and go sit at a table. Attending a hearing lounging in your bed is not the way to go. Is anyone else bothered by this?

    20:13 AGREED! Mom has no care or concerns about protecting her child. She put that angel in harm’s way and actively tried to keep it hidden from anyone who could provide safety and shelter for that child. I’m so glad that the child had the opportunity and ability to speak out against his abusers. Both mom and boyfriend should be jailed for abusing that innocent angel. It’s horrifying that mom can be so non-reactive during this hearing. I would have been at minimum a sobbing mess if my child was harmed or taken away from me and that boyfriend would have been put under the jail for laying a finger on my child.

    • @justanothersmith6012
      @justanothersmith6012 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Same! Why do these parents even want the responsibility of a child when it’s not conducive to their lifestyle? So much energy spent hiding and lying when they could let the child go to a better home and the parent would be free to do as they want. It’s not because they love them because a loving mom would not do this , IMO.
      We were foster parents for a long time and I still don’t understand.

We see so much of this where I live in Canada, and essentially most of them do it because they are drunk or high having sex, so "What's protection?" They also get paid well by the government for each child, plus all the other benefits, housing, food, clothing etc.
      We had one child, I am disabled, my husband worked at the same job for 30+ years, just retired, we knew we could only afford one child, people are having more children than they can care for!

      I’m sorry but if you so much as look at my child sideways you are OUT. Lay a solid finger on my child and I will call law enforcement faster than you can walk out the door.
      As a single mom I never introduced my child to any man that I dated. The only man my child ever met was the man I married and we are celebrating or 20 Year wedding anniversary this year.
      I don’t see why parents involve their children in relationships unless they are well aware of it lasting and it being a permanent situation. It too risky and children’s hearts are tender. This mom doesn’t deserve that child.

  • @peggybaby0894

    I’m 44 years old and crying like a baby! 😢 First I have to say I’m really proud of the team looking out for this little boy. I wish and pray for 18 years in the system that just one person would have recognized my mental health deteriorating and spoke up for me. People in positions of power need to understand that even though physical wounds are horrendous but they’ll heal. It’s the mental and emotional that doesn’t for a long long time. I just hope he gets to be somewhere that someone sees him as the light he is and nurtures and encourages him into adulthood.
    Any parent the does it themselves or allows emotional and verbal abuse needs to know they’re changing the very person their children will become. It will change how they feel about themselves, their ability to be successful, the way they treat other, the way they treat their own children. That’s why we call it generational trauma.
    Let these kids just be kids. Let them laugh and be silly and not have to ever worry or have to take on the mental load of the adults.

Many people see parents put up a fight for a child and interpret this to mean that the parent 'must love them or they wouldn't fight so hard.' She is very good. I know how the system works in this country and everyone is entitled to an attorney but you could not pay me enough money to EVER get up there and advocate for a situation that puts a child at risk. Maybe she could find a job to put those good skills to use that would protect somebody and not facilitate more abuse. I don't know how some of these lawyers live with themselves. Just my opinion.

    Mom doesn’t want to do anything to better her life so she can better her son’s life. If you’re not willing to do everything and more for your child no matter what is asked of you then you don’t deserve a child. And for dad’s attorney where is he? Sounds like neither one is worthy of this child. While I realize she’s doing her job the maybe immature part of me says your client is not fit to be a parent nor should she be…and to have that child there listening to all of this the one thing he will hear is he caused all of this…it’s his fault and that is shameful…that in itself will be something he will probably deal with for a long time. And mom will blame everyone else and tell the child this. Thank goodness for those who advocated for this child and for the judge for listening to the child and putting his needs first….and not a judge who says “well we’re gonna give mom one more chance to work the program and show she can do it and then come back in a month and see how things are going with mom”.
