No, the inside cylinder block ball bearing is replaced with bigger one. They have stockpile of shiny used bearing with various size to get into the bearing. This is the real green recycling.

Это ужасная работа. Множество нарушений техники безопасности. Детский труд, работают без защитных очков на шлифовальных станках. У них, наверное, много несчастных случаев на производстве. И работа бессмысленная без контроля качества. Подшипники больших размеров можно и нужно ремонтировать, но не так

Poor guys, at least wear a mask else all that dust will just destroy your lungs. While some idiots will say that all they are doing is making trash shiny, they are missing the point.
You’ll never get the bearing back into original spec by doing this which is true, however if you just need a bearing that functions in an industrial setting AND NOT AT HIGH SPEED, then this will absolutely work [As evidenced by a market demand to support doing the work, if the product wasn’t acceptable at the price it cost to produce nobody would buy it]
Anybody who is stuck in a single mindset is just a sheltered idiot who knows nothing of reality. The large machines that these bearings are meant for are going to be well worn, patched together with many repairs. They don’t need tight tolerances, hell they don’t even need a good bearing … they just need a bearing that fits and works all else is moot.
