Yesss!!
Yes!! Please!!
Great idea man!!!
Yessss 😀 i like to hear some Buddy
My sister had a 64 or 65 SG that was once Olympic white with Grovers that someone painted black and installed a Bill Lawrence pickup. Shame she sold it, but it needed a ton of work. Nice to see this one. I remember that neck seemed to stretch to Texas. Man did it feel long.
My ultimate guitar, Captain Sensible played one in 1982, and it's as old as me
Definitely a distinct tone. Love the p90’s as always!
I can't believe I won ! I've been watching every episode for almost 2 years. Did not have enough luck during live episode on Saturday, but this made my week today. Thanks guys !
So rad with the “Tonight we’re gonna rock it”. Killer!!
Happy 700th Mark.
You have a dream job.
I love seeing the old guitars, and you play great too. Keep up the good work (work?).
Hey MILOS - I went to POLAND in 1974 with my high school band. It was absolutely life-changing for all of us. Imagine a bunch of dumb USA kids from small town “AfraidOfCommunistsVille” heading behind the iron curtain for s couple weeks with almost no way to communicate with anyone from the USA. Things were so different back then. We were not just in good hands while there - we were in AMAZING hands. The people were the greatest. All it took was an acoustic guitar and a Beatles tune to gather 500 people wanting freedom from Soviet control. Absolutely amazing.
Amazing SG, beautiful color. P90s are great.
Tonight we gna rock ya! Tonight we gna rock ya! 🤘
I’m 18, but I watched spinal tap, it’s a freaking classic
Keep rocking on Mark, know you been busy, keep up the good work!
Congrats to Mark, Jen, and Norm for officially reaching 700 episodes of #GuitarOfTheDay!
And now for the setlist:
1. Eagles-Life in the Fast Lane
2. Tom Petty-Refugee
3. Spinal Tap-Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You
One of my favorite vintage guitars you have done

Congrats on 700!
Those 60s SGs are amazing!
HAPPY 700th!!!!

3. Spinal Tap Tonight I’m Gonna Rock You Tonight
Are we doing Stonehenge tomorrow night?
I can smell the glove from here.
Interesting, Nr.1 sounds like "Willie the pimp" by Frank Zappa, just faster.
@@RoderickGMacLeod Don't point at it. It can never be played!
@@SimpleManGuitars1973 Listen, just listen for a minute. The sustain, listen to it.
@@RoderickGMacLeod I don't hear anything." Well you would...if it were playing..."
I can dig it.
That's a nice bit of kit. Awesome.
That’s the git that ticks all my boxes old or new just the one that makes me happy
Poland represent! Good I didn't participated. That announcement would take whole episode.
Whats your surname then?
Thanks for the Täp!
You are the luckiest man in the world
Another rock'in axe from Norm's !
Ah Ha! cleared that up for me today! I had a 1967 Gibson SG special! I always wondered why the vibrato tail was smaller!
Sweet SG !! Pickin' it like ya own it my man 👍
Dude..... that's 2100 songs that you know.....very impressive......that needs a Marshall behind it...... beautiful sounding guitar......
Good job!!! #700!!!
Markus - great set list today!
You were having WAY too much fun with that Spinal Tap tune. Ha! love it.
Happy Tele-tuesday everyone,
welcome back as we Tap into
the future!
I feel like since the guy was able to guess the question before you asked it AND had seen the video before it was pulled down after minutes... you couldn’t have had a better winner for the guitar.
Always good to hear some Tom. Sounded gritty as hell.
You lucky sob...
Jk, congratulations on your win, you deserve it for knowing such a random question, lol!
The Jacket!
You say RAD I say AWESOMELY OUTSTANDING!
Man I love a good SG every once and a while! However! Gotta do a Maton!
Doubt he's got his hands on one over there. He's missing out though
@@jordancochrane3895 agreed! But we can only hope/enjoy these sweet guitars in the meantime
Man that was great Mark ! Love me some P-90's !

"We all have armadillos in our trousers .... it's quite frightening really"
Love it! I have a 68 Gibson Special that my dad left me when he passed away. The tuners were swapped by a friend of his back in the 80's. Anyone know where I can find the original white tuners?
Spinal Tap...I love it!
That's sick. Goes to 11
I m born February 29. 1964 in Love Jimi the Rat from Germany
We’re Spinal Tap from the UK and you must be the USA!
St. Hubbins, yep I was the old guy watching.
He was the patron saint of quality footwear
Man nice spinal tap bit at the end lol
Why did you point straight at me when you called out the old guy? Uncool...
it was obvious to everybody, dude !
Was that you? What a relief. For a minute thereI thought he was pointing at me.
shew! When Mark pointed that finger I automatically pointed to you!! "Hey it's this guy!!"
@@jacttanna2353 Same here !
Hey Mark and Jenn.love your channel.im a long time subscriber and I try not to miss a episode.you guys don't know it but have helped me through some tuff times from everyday stuff to the passing of my mother 2 years ago.she loved your show too by the way.for some reason I couldn't get on the guitar give away because I couldn't get on the comment thing a mobobber lol.but I was really wanting a chance to win the guitar considering I don't have one and can't afford one at the moment.the only guitar I have is an acoustic Conrad that was my dad's that got killed when I was 18 months old but it's a Gibson hummingbird knockoff.but I was really hoping to get a chance to win one of those telecasters.i love them and those was so rad.it would mean a lot to me if you could give me a shout out. I'm Bryant from Kingsport TN.i live just over the hill from where June Carter Cash grew up at the Carter family fold they call it.and June and Johnny Cash has a house near there. I'm right in the middle of where country music was born.Good place to live. But anyway love your show and would love a shout-out.cheers guys
I'm from Kingsport ! Hang in there man. Your time will roll around. Stay focused and positive and always pray, my friend. I live near Ft Patrick Henry dam...it's awesome where we live!
Oh, and we rock harder than any part of the country! That's why everybody from Elvis to ACDC to Clapton to ELP to BOC to Ozzy to ZZ to etc, etc, etc came here back in the day to Freedom Hall
That jacket with them zippers!!
Love p90s I mean come on you can feel it play
Live at leeds, The Who !
That's a stunning SG special,play it through a 5150

2. Tom Petty - live like a refugee
3. Spinal Tap - tonight I’m gonna rock you tonight
Oh that's freaking sexy, Schwing! As Garth and Wayne would say from Wayne's World. I bet it sold the next day
Wow great Gibson!! My name is Jordan Gipe and my birthday is on Friday (February 1st) and could you possibly do a Beatles guitar for Guitar Of The Day? That would be amazing!! The GotD is one of my favorite shows to watch on TH-cam! Thank You!!
Dat tone tho
700 thank you’s! Here’s too many more! Oh and hank, listen to that Polaris paint job!
Ooo that Gibson SG is just *S E X Y*
Nice
You could make an S$H green stamp guitar sound good.
Enjoyed it.
4:10
Thanks, man. I'ma turn the big 5-0 on Groundhog Day.
gotta love those noisy P90's
Tap !!!
Happy 700th!!! Great white sg!it's beautiful! I dig it.sounds heavy.sorry about Saturday's show,what a flop.
I'm the old guy that remembers spinal tap
Old guy watching! Lol that hurt.
Tonight I'm gonna rock you.....tonight! You're too young and I'm ..... We'll never mind what I am!
It's white. And it's in sync.
This one goes to eleven.
Beautiful guitar. The amp sounds like it has a cold.
How much more white could it be?
Can you guys do a Q&A sometime? That’d be awesome
Wow I watch this all the time andnever win jack shit. I'm not even greedy,an Epiphone Les Paul would do me!
Old guy here
SG fudge yeah!!!!!!
I had a 68' SG Special at one time, but it didn't have the binding on the neck. The P90s on that thing were absolute monsters. Shouldn't have sold it.
Here's my 65 Special with vintage Leo Quain bridge.
Very cool. You could have easily just AC/DC'd the whole thing.👏👏
Allegedly no views yet? Neat
1.) "Life In The Fast Lane" - Eagles
2.) "Refugee" - Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
3.) "Tonight I'm Gonna Rock It" - Spinal Tap
Kewel☯️
Does Norm’s do free set ups on a instrument bought?
1) Life in the Fast Lane, The Iggles
2) Refugees, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
3) Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You Tonight, Spiñal Täp
SCHWWWIIIINNNGGGGGGGGG
🤘🏻🔥
Super cool SG. Love the Specials! Shame about the Grovers, though. These guitars don’t need any more neck/headstock mass.
Cool, but does it have Doyle Coils?
