I have a damier azur Sarah wallet that I purchased in 2022 that has a very foul odor. I have only used it a few times and store it in a drawer with my other slg’s. There are several silica packets in the drawer as well. Only this wallet has the odor. I have tried placing the wallet in a sealed container with silica packs, charcoal packs, and even the Downey washer beads. Nothing has worked. I have been searching on line and found an article in Korea from September 2023 where customers were complaining that the items they purchased had a very foul odor. It mentions that LV did exchange items because the items were not repairable. The article also mentions a “quality-enhancing substance” applied to canvas ?? I could not find any other info that supported this claim. I did come across Always Sophie YT channel where she recently reviewed her beautiful damier azur collection and she has the same issue with her DA Clemence wallet. I commented on her video and she replies back stating her DA Felice has the same smell! I think there is definitely an issue with the DA canvas purchased around 2022. Thank you for sharing 💕

Had that happened to me with a bag Green alcohol mix it with baking soda hand sanitizer wash well put one of the dry sheets in there leave it and try that see if it works. It works for me.

I have been hearing about this online. Dollar Tree sells scented baking soda. I would try this inside a mesh like jewelry pouch closed up inside and change it daily. Also, a cotton ball with peppermint essential oil in the same kind of mesh bag because i notice my doublemint gum smell spreads throughout my slg's.

My husband has this fancy shoe cleaner he got from his mobile shoe cleaner guy that has a superrrrr strong peppermint smell so we’re currently trying that method. The guy told us that cleaner can be used for SLGs and so many other thing so we’ll see. I know this Proly sounds bad but it makes me so happy to hear I’m not alone. I recently bought a dehumidifier too, just for my boutique, to prevent any new damage to the rest of my collection. TFW! ☺️💜

Girlllll I was livid pissed cussing for hours when I 1st detected the issue 😡 By the time I filmed this vid months & months had passed and I had time to go through all the emotions: pissed mad disappointed sad and then pissed at LV for not replacing them, followed by telling myself Lai there’s literally nothing you can do sis. Activated charcoal ABSORBS hardcore odors. I know of someone who got a handbag off of FashionPhile and had the same stubborn smelly problem and it worked for her. Hello there. Have you tried banking soda? Or salt? Or these two mixed in a soulution? Maybe try pushing it inside out and let the sun purify It? I mean if you have washed in the washer this idea may not be too bad. Please proceed with caution. Hoping for a better outcome for you.🤔🙄
Heck at this point no point in proceeding with caution lol. They either can be saved or they can’t lol. I haven’t tried baking soda or salt, and shoot I didn’t even know you could flip them inside out. Thanks for the tips boo. I don’t think the canvas is soft enough to flip it but def something I can try 😉

Hello, I have a key pouch in the monogram print and it also has a bad smell. Like you it’s stored with all my other Slg’s and none of the other items smell except for this one. It has an old coin smell mixed with vomit. 🤮 I haven’t done anything to try to get rid of the smell because I’m afraid I’m gonna ruin it other than leaving it unzipped and out of its dust bag for a few days but that didn’t work. Mine is made 2019.

I recently brought my GM On the Go bag to the LV store due to a foul odor, despite having purchased it in 2019 and never using it. The bag was stored properly in a dust bag with good ventilation, away from heat and sunlight, alongside other LV handbags. When I opened it, I noticed a strange musky, foul smell. I took it to my local LV store, and after a week of attempted repairs, they offered me a one-time exchange. It seems to be an issue with the linen, glue, or canvas/leather used in LV products from the year 2019.

yes, I had the same problem bought an Emilie wallet came smelling like burnt rubber! I called LV they wanted me to take my piece into an LV boutique so they can smell it. They could not smell it but, sent it off for further review and came back no smell found! I am disappointed that I spent that much, and nothing can be done about it! I have done everything to try to get the smell out nothing works!

I'm a dare devil when it comes to getting a bag to smell good. Have you tried sitting them open outside in the sun for a few hours? I had a bag no matter what I did the odor would not go away so I found a way to keep the bag open and sit it out in the sun with a dryer sheet stuffed inside for a few hours and rotating the bag every so often that the sun doesn't bleach the outside too much. It helped with the smell and the sun never affected the color of the bag. I had it outside for six hours.
Wow, your courageous for throwing them in the washer. Since you want to try to get the scent out how about you get a little linen sash and put baking soda inside. 🤞🏼 that works

See if there are charcoal packs on Amazon smaller enough for them. When I purchased preloved LV that smelled I put charcoal packs in them until the smell went away

So sorry about the smell. Did you try Clorox 2 for colors? It’s safe and it doesn’t have a bleach smell cause it’s made to protect dark colors.
