    This is so sad. I used to go there every day when I was 5 (in 2001). We'd park outside of JCPenney, get chocolate at Gertrude Hawk, play with model trains at the model train store, look at the pet shop... one time we had family photos taken at The Picture People. So many memories...

      Unfortunately the mall management didn’t update the mall at all. Still seems like the 70’s and 80’s. And it’s in the middle of nowhere in voorhees. Not exactly on a major road.

      @literal-legend19 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I used to go there during 2016-2018. It was so fun to be there. Would read comics at this one shop and then head for some chick-fil-a afterwards. Usually we’d head to Payless too.

    Ugh Jon....That one made me sad! You know I was born and raised in Jersey. So many fun memories going to that mall and the Moorestown Mall. We only went to Cherry Hill Mall every now and again, and never hit up Deptford growing up. I hate seeing this, but that's the way society I guess has transformed. Places like The Promenade in Marlton, The open air outlet shops at like the Glouscter Premium Outlets, the Atlantic City Outlets, etc is more enjoyable? I dunno, another video reminding me how lucky I was to grow up when I did....

    I was wondering about that mall… That used to be one of my places to shop around Christmas time. My daughter and I were at the Plymouth Meeting mall last week and it was the same. It’s a shame!

    Hahahaha so glad you visited. Knew it would be an absolute ghost town. How this place is still opened I have no idea. The only time I see people in there is the old folks doing laps for exercise.

    Oh and the Chinese restaurant when you first walk in at the entrances between jc Penney and the food court. Also Woolworth used to be at the end by hc penny's. I have so many memories with my Mom at this mall. 😭 I miss her.

    The last time I was at the Echelon Mall was when Exhilerama Laser tag closed down. I was working at the Chick-fil-A at the time. They had those large colorful soda fountains. Across from the mall was the library with the ducks outside.

    • @transitdude3352
      @transitdude3352 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Mister Google but internet shopping is wayyy inexpensive. I shop Amazon sometimes two to three times a month depending on what I need. Also there’s a Amazon distribution center only fifteen minutes from me so I get things sometimes the next day!

    Since you filmed this , 4 new businesses have moved into the Voorhees town center . A candy/popcorn/cookie store in the food court, a Turkish mosaic lamp store , a party store and a furniture store is getting ready to open in the old Macy’s. It’s definitely not dead , still gets a fair amount of foot traffic

    Head south to Cardiff circle shopping center. It used to have big box stores including pathmark, Forman Mills and Big Lots. Now it’s actually a Big Lot! Harbor Square across the highway isn’t much better only surviving because of a Boscovs and a New Jersey DMV! Sad times.
